  1. Very cool and definitely something to try.
  2. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT, it's another winner. I had been following your progress at your Fotki, and I am glad you got it over on the forum. Cheers, now build one every month!
  3. Because Harry some of us--like Doctor Cranky--are addicted to styrene! The more we build, the better we feel!
  4. LOL! Now you gonna have me looking for smoke detectors!
  5. Great craftsmanship! BTW, where did you get the mesh for the grill?
  6. Glad you got it, buddy, yes, it's a very cool DVD on techniques. I have AUTO AIR paints, but I tend to like HOK better . . . Thanks for tuning in to the channels. Doctor Cranky THANKS you and EVERYONE who has taken the leap of faith.
  7. WOW! This is one of the finest, cleanest and most beautiful '62 Imps, I've seen! What a gorgeous model! Congrats.
  8. Looking good, keep it going.
  9. Yes, yes, more, more! These are going to be killers.
  10. That engine by itself blows me away, Cruz!
  11. Thanks, fellas, I just got my first constructive criticism which I have taken well and that is to stop saying "Ums" and "Ohs". Point well taken. It's shaping up. I'm warming up . . . Thanks to all of you who've checked it out. It's lots of work, but it's fun . . . and you know D. Cranky--as long as it's fun, he's into it.
  12. Jairus is right! But I can't stress enough what others have said already--mock up your builds while you are still in the raw plastic . . . do it over and over until everything fits right. Then do it again when everything is primered. Then do it again when everything is painted, and then move in for the final assembly.
  13. Happy TGIF EVERYONE! Happy to report the Lab-RAT-ory Channel is up and running. Check it out.
  14. Oh man, a couple of pictures would help visualize this better.
  15. Needless to say anticipation and anxiety are building!
  16. I am loving every step in this one. Fabulous and effective graphix. This model is gonna get attention!
  17. Okay, so the kit is being released in February, right?
  18. The new equipment is in the house, so starting tomorrow new vids are hitting the airwaves. Doctor Cranky is happy! And you will be to after you subscribe! Cheers!
  19. Gorgeous, I am saving my pennies!
  20. The equipment has started to arrive which means new vids very soon. Stay tuned in.
  21. Beautiful job. It's not easy getting this kind of paint job done right, but you hit the ball out of the park.
  22. That's very true, Harry . . . I think the best we can hope for is to take care of our models because we enjoy them and have put a lot of time and love into them, but eventually we have to let go . . . Of course, I keep playing the LOTTO and if I win I will open a MODEL MUSEUM, and then nobody will have to worry about their models. They'll be safe in my museum!
  23. I think this is a wonderful topic for discussion, and it's been a struggle most of these last 10 years to keep the models clean and safe and out of the wrong hands. My workshop has a lock and I am the only one who can enter. Although I don't believe in buying insurance, I do make sure that most of my collection is scattered between the two places I live in. If one place goes up in flames, the other will hold half of my collection. Seriously, it's a form of insurance.
  24. WOW, Chuck, that's fabulous. It's so wonderful to play with photographing your models this way. Pure eye candy, chap.
  25. Love the paint, and the look of the model. Great job. This is one of those kits that's dear to my hear. You've done justice to it. Congrats.
