  1. I could see them flying off down the track. LOL. Thanks, Derrick. I appreciate the support.
  2. Beautiful gathering of funny cars. I love the couple of green ones at the start of the thread. Gorgeous.
  3. I like where you might be headed with this one.
  4. Some beautiful vehicles being worked on here. Nice eye candy.
  5. Nice panel work. They look different and very cool.
  6. Chris, I can't wait to see how you execute the pirate theme on this one.
  7. LONG LIVE RUST! I love it. Excellent weathering throughout. Wonderful model.
  8. Some great kits, School. That gyro-copter is sweet. Keep making progress, there's still plenty of time.
  9. Rob, I hope to augment it with some 41 willys parts, and some other sources.
  10. Well, here are these two babies and both don't need a thing, but you know I will polish them further. The gold flakes really do wonders for the orange one.
  11. If I had another body I would build a skir/no skirt versions. Unfortunately I only have one of these kits.
  12. Christian, any which way we stay inspired in this hobby works for me!
  13. You guys know more about this stuff than I do, so I am thankful a few of you are looking over my shoulder, and I now you will chime in if you think the old Doctor is running astray.
  14. Wayne, I did too, but I also wanted those beautiful wheels and tires to show . . . Thanks, Ray . . . I have a friend sending me the engine from a 33 Willys . . . we'll see how this all goes. This is like my third gasser so far. I have to say, I really like building them. They are a blast.
  15. I opened the hood for the impending scoop. Willys front clip and engine mockup . . . Stay tuned in for more.
  16. Oh, but don't delay on our daily allowance of eye candy. LOL. Hurry on back.
  17. AMAZING. BEAUTIFUL. I love it already as is in the raw styrene.
  18. Oh, I can't get enough of this look: But those skirts have to go (right Donn?) and so they did:
  19. I knew this one had me by this point: When I was still thinking street machine I was going to use the T-bird front clip, but then decide GASSER! Worked on the grafting of the rear and the interior tub . . .
  20. NOTE: I changed the name of the thread because the name of the model changed. This one has rising out of its own ashes each time it's gotten very close to the trash heap. Well, here we go again with some styrene madness and possession. I got possessed once again watching TIPS & TRICKS FOR BUILDING SHOW QUALITY MODEL CARS by Donn Yost (The Instigator as I like to call him now.) I have always wanted to build this kit, and had it (luckily) and when I saw that I also had a spare parts AMT 66 Chevy Nova, and the 41 Willys by Revell, I know something was lining up . . . So here's what I've got going on. Initially I thought I'd have a street machine, but then gasser is a better fit for this build. We'll see how it goes. The 66 Nove tub fits beautifully here: Loving it already. I am using the 41 Willys slicks on this, and not the 66 Nova tires. The wheels I will be using are the 66 Nova wheels.
  21. I would definitely like to see a 3 n 1 new kit from the 40s or 50s done at the level of the 49 Merc LIMITED EDITION, that would be a crown pleaser I think. Truck or car, I'd be fine with either or both.
  22. John, the paint is on there . . . I used a silver sharpie on the glass windshield frame. I guess it is too light or subtle. Randy, yes, there will be more rust and gunk on the next weathered model. LOL. Thanks, everyone.
  23. Nice, love the color.
  24. BEAUTIFUL color and everything else. Excellent engine too. Love it. Congrats.
  25. Another masterpiece, Steve. It's great to see it finished and have it in the model car world. Now recharge the batteries and let's see how you are going to outdo yourself this time. Cheers, DC
