  1. Looking real good, Mark. I love the smooth look of this one. So far so good. Keep it going.
  2. Looking forward to seeing that engine painted and detailed.
  3. Thank you, folks, I am making very slow progress today. Working on a new distributor and seeing if I can squeeze it into the front.
  4. Thanks for posting this, I had not seen it before, but glad we combined both posts into one.
  5. Some excellent contributions. Thank you.
  6. The details are outstanding. You are getting closer to paint.
  7. Well, I think I can lower it a bit more. I'll work on it right after dinner. Stay tuned in. Thanks for the good eyes, Donn.
  8. And a final round of progress for today:
  9. So far, I am really quite taken with the overall looks of this one:
  10. The roll bar still looks a bit too tall, but I will fix that later.
  11. I am working on a 1933 Willys engine which so far is not giving me any major headaches, just a lot of cleaning . . . I had to put in a few engine mounts and a riser in the chassis so that the engine sits on there somewhat level.
  12. Of course this is bound to be a phantom gasser at best, but I am going to put a few styling cues on here like the infamous grill and bumpers which probably make this one utterly implausible. Which is okay, I think.
  13. I've also been removing emblems, door handles, and smoothing out the body. This type of AMT plastic is a bit soft.
  14. All right, maties, here is some progress . . . I am really digging this build, although it is a lot of hard work to clean up and smooth these parts, make the mods, but you know I ain't complaining, beginning with the beautiful tubbed 66 Nova Street Machine: I made one of these for the bench so that I can always measure and tub other vehicles . . . Started to work on the chassis . . . Shortened the 41 Willys chassis and radiator by a few scale inches . . . .
  15. Shane some wonderful progress. Also, I really like the truck int he background.
  16. Talk about portability, for 42 dollars, I just could not resist ordering one of these to try it. This unit is small enough you can take it on the road and still be able to paint with ease . . .
  17. I just saw this one over at MODEL CAR ROUND UP and wonder if anyone has either information or pictures of this thing built up. I am assuming another kit fits in there . . . http://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/mpc-r2-787.htm I am drawing a blank trying to remember if I had ever seen this one. Interesting subject matter.
  18. Very nice weathering!
  19. Excellent work, keep it going.
  20. You sure do know how to work your styrene magic. This is looking great.
  21. Looks like you are going to have fun with this one. Nice color too.
  22. I think I have found my contender. Happy, happy:
  23. Keep it going, Wayne, it's looking real fine.
  24. I really like the way this one looks. Beefed up but classy looking.
