  1. Say What?
  2. I always find it interesting that so many people always shoot down the idea of new tooling. I would like to know what" Crystal Ball" they get their information from? I do believe that the real car companies learned that if you make the same old ######, you will soon go under.
  3. Dumb question maybe? When you use the touch and flow applicator ? What keeps the glue from drying in the applicator?
  4. I would rather see the tooling money spent on something all new. Not on what they already have out.
  5. I love the way models were painted back in those days. I could never figure out why they put them all together and then painted them. It was so easy to just take the screws out and take them apart. I never glued the windshield or interior in them as there was no need to. They had them nice post to hold everything in place. I would love to get one of those in the hardtop, as my sister and husband had one in white. I liked that car, it was so big and the fins were cool. You are off to another great start on this one.
  6. Nice smooth floor pan . The body looks nice also. Nice paint work on both parts.
  7. Glad to see you back on old SKWIRLY. Looks like your finger is better. I"LL be watching for more updates.
  8. I'LL let you do my Focus. Nice work.
  9. You know that old trick of sawdjustto in the trans? What about 50 weight oil in the motors? I think they called that motor honey?
  10. Mine was a 1962 Ford Fairlane 2 door 6 cly auto in 1971. Paid $300.00 bucks for it with the motor just rebuilt in it. The thing would run a flat hundred miles an hour on top speed. I painted the interior with black interior paint and put a set of bucket seats in it from a 65 Pontiac a buddy of mine had wrecked. I bought one 5 years later only it was a four door same color and all as the first one. It just never felt the same so I sold it.
  11. We will be living in the same screwed up world we live in now. Maybe worse than now though.
  12. Do you mean you want someone to build you one like his?
  13. That boat is wonderful. Looks so much like real hull. That is a great start on the car. Keep us up to date on this.
  14. It will be interesting to see how many do default on their new car loans. Now they are going to do it for appliances . Just love it when they give our tax dollars away. Cut personal , cut pay, close banks, close factories and cut benefits and so on. So lets solve the problem Give corporations free money. Remember if its not yours DO NOT TAKE IT. With our government they need to learn to not give our money away to save a business no matter how big it is.
  15. My first Mustang was a 1964 and a half . I was dating my wife at the time. What I would have give if the seats would have laid flat in it. HA,HA
  16. Those wheels really set it off. You done a great job with the way it turned out.
  17. That looks great. The paint is super. I learned to drive a standard in a 55 Ford my sister had.
  18. Nice set of pumps. I remember seeing a few old pumps when I was a kid. I always thought the glass ones were pretty neat looking. I thought it was cool cause you could see the gas in them.
  19. You have done some very nice work on those trucks. That is why we need some new trucks kitted.
  20. Have not seen one of those in awhile. Great looking work on that one.
  21. I guess it has become an old mans hobby when you are satisfied with the trucks we have now. I have bought all the trucks that are out there that I like. So how many more do I need of them ? Not one more of the old trucks. I like the new trucks. I am not pissing and moaning about it . Just the way I see it. If people don't like trucks why do they sell so well in the real world? The car thing you mentioned. Same deal with me enough of same cars just redone a little different.
  22. I can not understand it myself. I would love too have a 80's Ford Ranger. Any new 2000's Ford pickup. I know they are stuck thinking everybody wants another 57 Chevy, 49 Mercury with a chopped top or other old cars . I think they are dead wrong. I fore one want the new cars and trucks, that's what we drive today. The old promo's of the new cars every year is what got me in too models way back then. When you were young did you want to build what you seen on the street and what your parents drove? I did.
  23. I guess I should have read his post closer.
