Has anyone taken the new Revell 1965 Impala and used the wheel wells to convert a AMT 1966 Impala modified stocker to stock with them ? I have a Revell body I got in a junk box.

Just give me a model that can be built stock or three in one type anytime. The custom car modelers can use them to build what they like. There are too many cars and trucks that have never been issued, that I would like to see. The custom Mercury was a waste too me. How many ways can you build chopped Mercury ? Plus there was already a stock kit of one that folks seemed to chop and modify just fine. So I would not buy one, just like I never bought a Boyd's models

Please get rid of those wheels. They just don't do anything for it.

The gas filler should be on the drivers side only. We do not drive on the left side of the road. It would make it so much easier at the gas pumps when everyone had to pull in on the same side. We have to accommodate the rest of the world because of the world cars being built out there. That's why we are in the shape we are in today. They come first .

Just wrap them with tissue paper or toilet paper for the first layer and then use good old news paper to finish them. That is much cheaper than anything else. I have moved several times and it has worked for me each time.

I just stripped a 1966 Impala body . I had to use CSC, oven cleaner and brake fluid. The CSC took off some of the paint the brake fluid was next and finally the oven cleaner for the finish. The body was clean at the end. It took two weeks total time. Sometimes you just have to be patient.

Ford has a bad habit of making parts different on their vehicles . The best thing to do is ask a wrecking yard to look at there interchange books. They can tell you what you need. What about "Simplicity" for your truck?

I love it every time these turn in to a bashing of the the car brands. Lets face it? Folks bought in to everything they made for years. practicality and reliability went out the window and no one cared. It is just sad that the car companies lost sight of what was sound business practices. The foreign car companies reliability has went down also. I still here buy one of theirs its better than ours. Lets face it a lot of folks won,t even give an domestic car a chance anymore.

Harry drive one. Only you can tell if it fits you . I have owned at least 70 cars and trucks so far. The only thing that sells me on one is how it fits me when I drive it. A car or truck that does not feel right when you first drive is not the one you want. When you find the one that fits that is the one you want. Then check all the information about the vehicle you can find . That's the one you should buy.

I think down fall of GM started when they took the motors away from each brand and went to Chevy only motors. There seemed to be a sense of pride in each motor for the brand it was in. You no longer had a car that was different from the rest. The bodies were the same with just some minor changes. Nothing to say I have a Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick Or Caddy.

Here We go again on a subject that has been done to death. Cars come and go and always will. What it boils down to is, He who builds the better mouse trap wins.
