  1. A coat hanger would be to big around. You could also use paper clips they are the right size of wire. Plus they are cheaper than brass rod. Just straiten it out as flat as you can. Epoxy is a two part glue and comes in two bottles. You have to mix it together to make it work. Regular glue will not stick to metal.
  2. Like everyone has said beautiful work.
  3. Then you answered you question. The car would be the better choice for now .
  4. I am wondering what planet you are really from ? Maybe Mars? You have some great wacky builds. Keep it up.
  5. That is one cool looking ride
  6. Witch one would you have more fun with? Only you can say.
  7. While selfishness and greed is rampant in the world. That has never changed in history. That does not solve the problem of not enough jobs, food, water, pollution Of everything on earth. Name me one thing that is not over used and being depleted or polluted by the over population? You want to double the population? Tell me how you would supply the world with food , clean water and clean air, let alone jobs for everyone. That seams to be a very big problem today is it not? Maybe you meant that in jest ,if so sorry for my rant on you.
  8. I have a bunch of the old Car Model Magazines . They are nice to look through every now and then. I treasure what I do have from my DAD.
  9. Sadly in today's world the automatics are consistently better in every day driving, drag racing , off road racing , better control with shift points with the rpm of the engines. The number one reason really is that we are just plain lazy.
  10. I have two from when they first came out. They build into very nice models. Much better than the 79 Bronco actually . I hate to say that because I love Fords.
  11. I am glad that you have the opportunity to go though your Fathers things. I had an stepmother and she did what she wanted with my dads things. We were lucky to get anything of his. Enjoy the memories that you find.
  12. That turn out look pretty nice.
  13. When people come too their senses . They will realize that the number one problem is, that this Earth is just over populated. We are to busy with the human needs. We will destroy anything that gets in our way right or wrong." Mother Nature" has away to deal with the over population of all its creatures. There are check and balances in every thing in the wild. Not enough food ,water in an area creatures will die. The same thing happens to people. Only we do not get the message. We just keep on thinking we are smarter than "Mother Nature". Just look around the world and see all the problems of not enough of food ,water, oil, housing, jobs. It just goes on and on.
  14. Unless your Stepdad took the valve covers off, He could not have done anything too loosen the head bolts. That happened probably when you and Grandpa over heated the engine. Belts come loose or wear out all the time. You should get a repair manual for your car. Learn the joy of working on your own car. The way you build models it should not take you long to learn how.
  15. That turned out nice . Nice job on the rebuild.
  16. Beautiful paint work and color. That blue really stands out.
  17. I have learned a lot about metal work, panel replacement, paint prep and welding from those shows. I don't always like the subject they are building myself. I agree without the pranks and other drama the shows would be a little boring. I disliked Boyd and his puppet Duane. Two of the biggest idiots ever. Too bad Boyd's wife could not hold the business together but, that's what you get when you marry a trophy for your arm.
  18. That was a stainer if there ever was one. I would like to send that to a bunch of folks . Where did you find it?
  19. I thought that American Idol was more important than anything else? Maybe we should hold our elections with that format?
  20. Nice body work and paint.
  21. It all started with Me discovering a hobby shop when I was 7 or 8 years old. I told My DAD about it on one of his visits. He took Me there and I bought an Edsel Promo . I don't remember the first year they came out but that's the year it was. I played with it until it was junk. Then I started buying kits and building them to play with. They all rolled back then. I crashed and burnt a lot of kits back then. I know I bought plenty of the Double Dragster kits and other double kits. The rest is history. I have never completely stopped building over the years. I am now 57 years young. I still have models I built in the late 60's.
  22. A 63 roof now that's different. You are doing a great job so far on the 67 .
  23. I like the way this one looks so far. Love the paint color. Looking forward to the finished product.
  24. That is some beautiful work .
