A Christmas Story
James Flowers replied to Scott H.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Now that is funny. -
Very nicely done. I love to see the old cars like these built. Just think how many folks put those old kits down as not detailed enough for them. You sure proved how well the can look.

Whats up with the Evil-Bay/
James Flowers replied to george 53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
So you say that anyone but your type of seller and buyer should not be on E-BAY? I think that is a self serving and biased statement on your part. Don't do it your way or just get lost is that it ? -
Very nicely detailed. I like the 65 as well.
-
That is one sharp build. Color sets it off nicely.
-
Just a thought, but I for one would scratch that paint job and try something else. Paint just does nothing for your work so far. Purple, green , or yellow colors the blue just not working for it.

I am sure glad some of you folks think Pay Pal is so great! Why should you care if a seller will take any form of payment. That should be his or her right. Their was always a choice before, now there is none. That too me is not good. E-BAY still got their money did they not? I think they have lost buyers and sellers because of it. I have heard just as many bad things about Pay Pal as good. I bought a lot of models on E-BAY but will not buy anymore from it. -
If your going to up date it with the bags and 20's may as well go for the interior up date also. I like the work you have done to open up the body panels and such. Then you lost me on the 20's not a fan of big wheels. I will still watch too see how you hinge the doors and trunk and other mods you make.

Revell Discontinuing NASCAR Model Kits
James Flowers replied to larrygre's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Nascar has been losing it fan base little by little the last few years. The day is coming when their greed will cost them dearly. This new year will tell just how many sponsors will still support them. A lot of the teams are already merging together too survive because of sponsors dropping out . The whole structure of Nascar needs to change. I do watch it but that is because I can not stand baseball, football or any sport with a ball in it. They are so boring too me. Talk about over paid just to throw a ball or hit one get real. You could take any high school team and it would be just as fun too watch with out the cost. Maybe we can get some new tooling from Revell on cars and trucks we have not had before. Maybe not though because they still have to pay the car companies to copy their cars and trucks also. -
Nice looking build you got there. I noticed you did away with the shock towers. What did you do about the front suspension ? I would like to see some pics of the under carriage .
-
First time I have seen one of those built. Looks like you did a great job on it. The new kit will sure knock the value of the original kits down as they go for big bucks. I love it when they bring back original kits.

Three Stooges going back to D.C.

I can not believe that this thread is still going on. Lets all send Art to Washington as our spokes person. -

Kinda like the Alaska pipe line huh? Gone save us all from them oil cartels in 1973. What a load of ###### that was. I lived right across the street from a gas station back then and watched as they filled the tanks every night. Yet you could only buy gas on odd or even days depending on you license plate number. Don't you just love our government bureaucracy ? -

Gas Prices - GEEZ!!
James Flowers replied to E St. Kruiser50's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't have the option of natural gas where I live or would have switched to it. I can only get propane gas and it is way more than natural gas. -
Gas Prices - GEEZ!!
James Flowers replied to E St. Kruiser50's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Why don't you switch out your furnace to electric one? I use too have fuel oil, sure glad I switched to electric much cheaper. My sister still has fuel oil and is always bitching about the cost of it. I can not belive so many folks on the East coast still use fuel oil. -

Gas Prices - GEEZ!!
James Flowers replied to E St. Kruiser50's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
$ 1.75 up from $1.68 yesterday in southern Ohio. So it is already starting to raise here after Thanksgiving day. So look out after Christmas. -
They look great. I really like the sedan delivery. How about a group shot or two of all 41 of them? You must dream of Plymouths .

Building Block / Mental Blocks........
James Flowers replied to kitbash1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I get builders block all the time it seems. Today I had a good day and started my conversion of 69 Mustang in to a coupe.I got the roof and trunk area ruffed in. First time in a month I touch a model. Don't worry about it you will build when it hits you again. -
GM on the critical list
James Flowers replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I like full size trucks because you have elbow room in them and you can see out of them so much better. The Focus I have and most of the new cars you almost touch the person sitting beside you. What good is a car that you are not comfortable in ? I also have a Chevy Venture van and it has the most uncomfortable seats I've ever seen. I agree most cars are now cookie cutter cars all look alike. When they went with the five and ten year body shapes with very little change in design it was to save money on tooling cost. What happened too that savings? -
