  1. I hate to see another member has left this board. I myself have caused some controversy on this board. Their seems to be a a click on this site that rules it. Anything they build gets praised. I think this board is getting stagnated by this click. I can log on for days and never see anything new posted. When I first found this site there was so much more going on with this site. I look to these forms for information and ideas . Now I am getting more controversy and less about models. Weather a model is built in a day or a year what does it matter? When the person that built it is happy with their build , why should you care? Seems to me that folks are being driven from this site.
  2. I agree very nice . Nice work on the frame swap.
  3. Glad you built it the way it was meant to be built. I love too see these old models that show up built. Another case of an old AMT made in to a jewel.
  4. Tell us how much you are paying from them. So we can say you got a real deal or your crazy. HA!,HA!
  5. You got some really nice builds there.
  6. Nice job so far. There's nothing better than bringing one back from the dead.
  7. What is the price and what all do you get with it? Looks nice. Does it have the taillight panel molded in?
  8. My Aunt drove one like it in 1965, always loved the yellow. Her ex had a body shop and built the car, had a black interior and Cragars on it . I can't remember what motor was in it but it was chromed out. Yours also reminds me of the Hot Rod Mag. car. Nice build.
  9. That's my kind of Low Rider. Looks pretty much stock nice and clean. Makes for a nice blend of stock look and custom mods.
  10. That's one you don't see every day. Not bad at all. They need to reissue this one.
  11. Pretty cool
  12. There is a guy named Donald E Marty in Oregon that had 800 models plus 150 duplicates to trade with. They are in a 10'x12' room floor to ceiling on shelves on all four walls. This was from a article in Car Model magazine August 1967. Could that be who you were thinking of?
  13. Oh no! You showed the flag. HA,HA. Great looking build you have there.
  14. Now thats one you don't see every day. I think it needs some window tint. Looks cool. I have one of those some where.
  15. I like the builds you have going . I do not think Pro Street will ever go away completely. You just won't see many anymore as times have changed. They were never really that practical on the street anyways. I still loved too see them though.
  16. You have some really outstanding work going on there. I like the Low Riders very much. The ones with the Donk wheels just look like cartoon cars with those wheels.
  17. Does anyone know if you can get these at a Chrysler dealer ?
  18. Does Santa know you would sell him out? May you get a lump of coal for Christmas HA,HA!
  19. Thanks for the history of AMT. Those old simple kits are what started what we have today . Folks should be thankful that us old folks bought them. With out us not buying them, they would probably would be lucky to have any of the kits today. I wish they would do Promos of all the new cars and trucks today. I think they would sell a ton of them. I for one have seen many a super detailed builds of those old kits. Just don't stop bringing back the old ones.
  20. I got one of these in a box of models I bought. The thing is, it is well built but the engine and windshield frame are missing. I love to see old models brought back to life. Nice work.
  21. Turned out really nice. I remember those green colors on so many GM cars back then. Looks right on.
  22. That is over the top on that sun roof. You got some nice engineering skills going there. I am not much on customs but that turned out nice.
  23. I like those mags, always liked the EL Caminos. Good start.
  24. I hope all you folks a wonderful holiday what ever you believe in and a happy New Year. Be safe out there.
