There are no rules when it comes to painting a Hot Rod , just do what you want. If you think it looks good do it .
Somebody might have a paint color chart that they have made on their own , in all reality it is just their opinion on a chart.
Most humans are afraid of change. It is a knee jerk reaction to resist it . I say bring the tuners or whatever you call them. Not my taste but this Hobby needs younger people to keep it going . Tom is spot on as are the positive comments about tuners classes. Just so you know I do not like them or plan on building one, they rank with any tri year Chevy to me. But I am with it enough to know not we need more people at the shows not less. They take the same skill to build as any musclecar or street rod.
Is it the plane or the girl on the box that had you buying this? Cool looking plane ,never seen this before, or is the one that the engines rotate for carrier landings?
Willys cab would be too small, these were a bigger truck more like a Ford, Dodge or Chevy. Whatever you used would more than likely need to be chopped.
looks OK Eric. The top pulley harry pointed out is the idler pulley I do believe. He is saying that those need a bracket not just the pulley and a belt holding it up. Not to worry about everyone being perfect .
I am with you on this one Harry. Now get rid of the exhaust coming through the bumper for a better flow of the rear of the fenders .
Grabbed the wrong photo OOPS LOL
So if harley is charging to much go to the others for less money . They will still sell , not like hot cakes but as John has said simple molds compared to a car. Then again why not make it their own brand.
They could call it the MPC 1200 street sled.
Harry I know what you are thinking about people driving your car. You will have to ride with them and that is not much better.
You could trade your car for someones stash of kits on here. LOL
