that would be pretty easy to make out of a thick styrene sheet as mentioned. hell i made a wing for my camaro out of a formula 1 spoiler still need ot do a little sanding, then primer and all that of course. its actually broken in that picture, i need to reinforce the back of it where those two little "posts" go, then it should quit snapping during sanding.

one of my friends gave me a 69' camaro body that had some body work done to it, i was going to use it foe my build that i have going right now, but its got alot of filler on it. any idea for removing it, besides sanding? its also got this nasty nasty yellow green paint on it, can i put her in the purple pond? would that get rid of the filler? thanks,Jeff

i definatley wouldnt mind seeing an 84' corvette in plastic, they have die ###### and they have an 85' but no 84' i mostly want that one to see what mine would look like with some mods second an 82' dodge ram pickup, so i could make my dads work truck -

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Corvette.Jeff replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I die a little inside every time i see that video of that c4, because it looks just like mine Ive seen pictures of that diablo before, i still wonder if they fell from the sky I think i may have been to that site before im not sure though. The guy did deserve what he got for stealing the 'vette, i just wish the 'vette survived They say he was doing at least 160, there isnt a single doubt in my mind he was going that fast, tlhe throttle response on these cars are amazing! so is the excelleration! I havent had mine over 90 before and i got there from 40 in less than 5 seconds, the only bad thing is the front tends to walk when you hit 60 -
What do you drive?
Corvette.Jeff replied to gasman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here's my main car and yea thats me Its a 1984 Chevrolet Corvette I first saw a c4 when i was about ten years old, right then i knew i had to have one! so when i turned 18 and started to get my license i told my parents that i wanted a corvette. At first they were a little worried about me speeding in it, but i've had to many friends uselessly die from speeding accidents So i checked the local craigslist and found here, a very nice 84' 'vette, me and my dad went and test srove it, then two days later we brought her home. Its mostly stock except my killer sound system Its not much, a 700 watt mosfet amp with two ten inch subs, and a alpine head unit, i want to get a bigger amp or add another one to get at least a thousand watts and either some 15's or at least 12's heres some more pictures. sure she isnt the prettiest thing in the worl but its one of my dream cars And heres a album of the 'vette. http://s453.photobucket.com/albums/qq254/T...0vette/?start=0 thaty little red car was my old project, its a 83' 280zx turbo, it was undergoing a v8 conversion but i had to sell it. Now i have a 80' el camino project, but i have to sell that to, to get another z car a 78' 280z -
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Corvette.Jeff replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Theres a police chase video on t.v. every now and then of a mint(looking) c4 corvette, I beleive everyones seen it, where the guy slams into the back of a semi and the 'vette gets damolished I would never do that to my c4, I dont even speed in it! Ive only had it up to 80 mph. On that kit car of the gto, they might of used a early z car for it, its a pretty popular mod that some z guys do. -
The nomad got a visit from a very sharp friend last night when i got a crazy idea I chope the rear section off of the top and made it an elcamino, iDont really know where its going but maybe a concept 55'? they really shoulda' started the elcamino earlier than 59'. I could still do a protouring thing with it, and maybe make it a hauler for the camaro

I live about an hour and a half away from dallas, I doubt youv'e ever heard of Granbury though Iv'e thought about doing a full z06 swap, like tourque tube and all, but the closest place that sells models is hobby lobby in fort worth. Ordering online is an option, but where are some good stores to buy from? I got the camaro and nomad from Rpp hobby, and i ordered a ramunition monster truck from hobby link(not hobby link japan). and ive searched on google for some, but all that comes up is diecrap stuff.

Fujimi's Koenig Specials Competition
Corvette.Jeff replied to FujimiLover's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I love that color! If i was you i would do what these guys recommend, you dont have to go all out and get a model body painting stand, just use a spray paint can thats what i use, and the body's that i have painted dont look half bad! but this is coming from a guy who helps paint real cars Id much rather paint a model car than a full sized car any day! -
I dont know if any of you guys are car guys here and watch all the stuff they put up on the internet but a while back there was a kid here in Tejas that stuck a 2jz ad a five speed in a 69' base camaro I dont think i saved the link when i saw it though
-
haha, I just stuck that in there to see if it would fit(that thing barely fits! its a monster!) I could use the viper rear end, it would need it to hold down that power
-
Dave, as always you have left me speechless once again, i love watching your builds I also love corvettes so this is a treat for me
-
I do still have a little more trim to shave and then i have to go pick up some more filler and for sale signs so i can start on the body kit, then its off to paint! after asembly of course
-
an update! I got the camaro standing on all fours by itself enough talky talky more picture picture! Just for the heck of it i stuck a v10 out of a viper in it heres a picture of the bottom(note once i start to paint ill atacth all the springs and stuff with filler) im still figuring out the diffy. i did forget to mention something, this will be the first model ive built since i was about 8 or nine, and im 18 now.lol well its time to go to bed, ive been up all night making sure the wildfires dont come around the house yes wildfires in texas
-
i like it! and i want that engine!! you may just start another trend here! every trend starts with one idea!
-
a litte update I chose the camaro, the nomad was going to take way to much work to get the front end together(sorry no pictures) I started working on the crossmember, man this thig takes alot of work to fit those wide tires! i still havent started on the rear end, thats gonna be a headache! I also started shaving off all the trim(it needs to be slick to reach those speeds above 200! I may do a wide body kit on the back end so i dont have to redo the axle, but id have to wait to g get some more for sale signs to make it I also made the wing, but i think it should be a little wider so i may do it. thats all for now, just waiting for glue to dry

After seeing Davids charger pro touring car, it really got me motivated to build one for myself. Only im a Chevy fan not a mopar fan so i have two choices as to what car i want to build. I have either a 69' yenko camaro, or a 55' nomad I know, not your average pro touring cars! the engine i plan to use i got out of the amt 57' 'vette flip nose, so no matter what car i use it wont be underpowered but what do you guys think would be cooler to see? the camaro, or the nomad? If i were to choose the nomad, it would have a darbon fiber hood, and most lilkely a cf dash and other little details, it would be sporting the 427 from the camaro though. if i chose the camaro it would have the cf hood and a cf boot panel. along with a modified formula one wing, along with racing seats, and mayb e a nice nos setup Both cars require about the same amount of work to complete. But i leave the final decision to you guys! p.s. If i choose the nomad the camaro will become a dragster and if i choose the camaro, the nomad becomes stock Here's a couple of pictures. Final ride height will be a little lower. thats about how itll sit Thanks,Jeff
