Corvette.Jeff replied to Scott H.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
i seriously envy you guys with a lot of models and stuff i counted i only have like 3 or 4(but then again im jsut getting back into the hobby from a 8 year breake ) for a work bench i have a kobalt work bench(3 drawer) that my parents got me from lowes, before that i was using a old school desk thats older then me! i dont have an area set up to paint yet, im thinking of converting my old desk into a spray booth. i have the whole shebang for modeling though a peg board full of tools air brushes and an air compressor(havent used it because i still dont know anything about it besides its good for blowing off my bench!) its true about light you cant have enough! the bench i use came with a built in light and power strip so i have a few lights in im going to be adding to it though soon -
id love to see some pictures of it in it build up if you have any that thing is just to amazing!

All you guys have some really nice cars sadly i dont have a daily driver to show off, i have two project cars(ill have to dig up some photos of em) to start is a 80' el camino: right now its completley stock(needs some stuff though) i plan on putting a bb 350 in it with a th350 in her shortly headers and all. my other project is a 1983 datsun 280zx turbo, its got every option you could get on those little cars i plan on pulling the straight six and putting a rb26dett in her itll be a sleep to terrorize the neighbors -

Corvette.Jeff replied to Grumpy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
pretty cool rides i to have a amc, not a gremlin but a pacer -
ive been working on a camaro(69') but ive ran into a problem, i cut the interior and "frame" to put bigger wheels(slicks) on the car. but now i cant figure out how to make it look better. im talking about i guess tubbing it out, what do i use to make the tubs? and what do i use to bond it all together?i also want to ditch the stock floor pan and make it a framed car. any tips on that? there arent any hobby stores in my town or a place that sells anything to do with models, there is a hobby lobby the next town over that i can go to,along with micheals. im also adding the front tube frame off a nascar so i have the engine bay covered, but i still need to find something i can use as a hinge for a flip nose hood. any help with that? sorry for all the questions im just really getting into customizing models, im still use to building them box stock.lol thanks.
