  1. Fuji, you could make a bracket kinda like the ones we use for opening doors, i did this with a c3 a while back, and if you wanna make it super cool. you could steal the spring from a ink pen and make it where they "pop" up
  2. Heres my zombie plan, Grab all the guns, ammo, water, food, and gas i can. get in my car(itll be kinda crowded being a c4 'vette.lol) hit the go pedal and go to canada, everybody knows that zombies never go into canada, i also might have to ditch the guns in a ditch before i hit the border If i cant do that, ill go to the local p.d.(cops are the first ones to turn you know!!) and break into the armory, then take over walmart, i should be able to live there for about a year, also might want to baracade the doors(that means go to lowes for lumber, a welder, and angle iron I'd also take my car into walmart so that it doesnt get destroyed like all the sprts cars in zombie flicks.
  3. Dont worrie about loosing the details, you just have to watch how hard you sand the tire, the easiest way iv'e found to do it is get some sanding files(the long skinny ones with the handles) tehn put the tire around your finger, sand from the middle out to the sides and around, that way it'll give it a "real" look. Jeff.
  4. Alright if your as forgetfull of me(ive hit a few to many rails skateboarding) you tend to forget what you did with parts to your models(or in my case use them for something ellse Anyways, in the revell special edition 3 in 1 68' charger kit(the one where you can build it either stock, street, or race) you use little socket type deals to put your wheels on your axles. Me in my stupidity, used those for replacment raising blocks on the back leaf springs. so what i did to attacth hte wheels to the axle is, i had a few extra wheels left over from my camaro build, so i took the backs off of the wheels, and they're a perfect fit on the slicks and hte front tires! Just thought i'd share a bit of info with ya'll.
  5. If it were a real car, that would be where the hood opens on either side. so im saying model. the theres no black at the bottom of the doors.
  6. I dont have any personal experience with the "new" mustangs, but i do have experience with car salesman. If you act like you actually wantt eh car more than you do while your test driving it, he might let you get on it. when we bought our 07' silverado we wanted to see how it performed and the salseman let us, he even let us pull a trailer around the backlot! If nothing else you may be able to go test drive a used one from a individual and take a test drive.
  7. alright now thats just plain ol' cool you got me wanting to build one now. do they make 1/25th slot cars?(might sound stupid to some, but i know nothing of slot cars) Jeff.
  8. Hi there, im going to start building a model of my 1:1 corvette of how i want it to look when done. I'ts going to end up with vertical doors one day, so i decided maybe i should go ahead and put them on the model. Heres the kit im going to get for my car eventually. http://dreamcarcustom.com/C4_VERTICAL_DOOR_KIT.html In the second to last photo, it shows the "hinge open" i need help desigining the part that keeps the two peices together, any ideas of what to use? also if any body could, i need help figuring out how to make my amp box, what would be easier, just cutting out thin strips and building up a wall on the sides, or making a wall out of one piece and try to get the cuts straight? thanks, Jeff
  9. c'mon harry where are ya'll? its friday morning here, just waiting for ya'll to show up and get this site movin' again.

  11. oh! i see it now, that quater window kept throwing me off! heres an idea for the windshield(that i think would look pretty badd a0 get some aluminum and make the frame, then get realy thin plexi glass and voila' you have a windshield. plus the aluminum would look killer on it!
  12. sweet, thanks for the reply's guy's.

  20. My story's kinda the same as every one else's, my dad used to junk old junky cars to the junkyard when i was little, so I'd go outside and sit and watch him all day take apart the big cars, when i was old enough to know what a wrench was i started taking the cars apart to! when i was about 8 or 10 i started noticing what the "nice cars" were(the ones on t.v., so i wanted one of them. but we weren't the richest people growing up(below average) so i found models! that progressed till we got a little better off and i was old enough to learn how to drive, once i drove for the first time i knew i would love it for the rest of my life. well a few project cars later and my first non project(my c4 corvette) i decided I'd get back to the roots of this little(well 6' 5") gear head built a few out of the box, and now im up to completely reshaping the body!haha so for me its the love of everything that has to do with cars, messing with cars when i was little, and not being able to afford the actual cars that i want One day ill have the big cars that i want
  21. You may have to bash a figure bro, get the doctor Spock kit! as for the bullet holes, maybe a pen drill?(like the small drill bits?) then after you paint it fill in the hole with red? instead of a blanket why not a tarp? ive heard that you can make those out of masking tape.
  22. Since i live in Texas "Dont mess with texas"
  23. This should be fun?(im bored so please forgive me) How about we see who can come up with a caption for this picture?
  24. Nice room, i build models on a workbench in my room i hope one day ill have a room just for models. Our(mine and my dads) hobby room is full of music equipment , we have his guitars(electric and my acustic, and his bass) all hte amps for the guitars, my drum set(acoustic, then my dads electric drum set and his keyboard. It sure is a pain moving my set from my house to my friends house for reherell I only take the base parts back home after were done, its alot easier that way!
