  2. George im gonna have ta' start goin with what you say more often!
  3. alright i'll do the countach! i ordered one today off of ebay, its from tamiya so it should be a good kit, i got it at a steal so if it goes south i'll use it for parts (ive always wanted a lambo powered camaro!) if anyone could i need some pictures of the car, i searched google and came up with nothing?... Thanks, jeff
  4. Fuji, its coming along great, I've watched almost all of your builds since i came back here(about a week after you joined up) you do great work man, i only wish i could get my paint to look as good as yours does here's a little trick i use for painting body's, Get a can of spray paint and set the body on it where the cap touches the inside of the roof, or do the coat hanger thing like mentioned, you just gotta get those body's off that cardboard! we basically use the same technique in the auto body field, only we use rotisseries Especially when we are restoring someones car just a little tip
  5. So it looks like im the one doing the countach? When is the deadline? it may take some time for me to get the supplies needed for the wing, but we'll see
  6. I got the chance to ride in one of these when i was about 12, 5 laps around Texas Motor Speedway at 180mph. man that was cool I'll be watching his buid.
  7. Has anyone said they would do the countach? if not i just bought one o ebay and i'd be willing ot build it!(sorry once i saw the title i made my reply witout looking )
  8. I got a few of those tips last time i bought a new hobby knife they are great little tools to have around! At first i thought i wouldnt even touch them, but oe day i couldnt find my picks when i needed to crispin some body lines, so out came the mini chisel
  9. For the longest time I've thought it'd be pretty darn cool to see a actual shell of a car in model form, like maybe on a rotisserie in a dio or even in a garage being "restored" Now i could do loads of research to get dimensions and all that, but im gonna get right down to the point, Do you think it would be possible? im talking cut the fenders off, cut the doors out, cut the trunk out, and leave it at a bare shell.. Mostly just curious, if somebody can even post a picture of a model that someone had done that to, that would be awesome! Thanks,Jeff
  10. i've odered rom hobby linc with no problem I ordered the stuff on sunday and got it on tursday
  11. That is amazing! Now i know why people like the old mustangs I had a chance to buy one not to long ago, i think it was a 88' but it came with two motors, one was a racing motor(the guy that had it was loaded and loved drag racing) and the other was teh stock v8, i cant recall the ci. numbers because the guy had a shop about 60' by 70' filled to the brim with restored classic muscle of every kind! needles to say i was a little preocupied checking out so many pro street cars in one place Im pretty much the same way about cars, I'll lover anything that can go fast lol. wether it be a traditional rod or a Import(as long as its not all riced out) My favorite car growing up(besides corvettes and first gen camaro's) was a mid 80's supra, i dont know what it was aobut those cars, they were just so cool. Yea the car on jackstands next to the 'vette was a z, I got that after i sold my "fairlady z" it was a 83' turbo, pretty rare actually, it had just about every factory option available, t-tops,five speed manual, power windows, turbo option, drivers side light cleaner, the talking lady(that tells you when somethings open lol) the only thing it didnt have was power locks and a factory car alarm. i was stripping it to make a pro street z but lost interest after i got the 'vette. The corvette was suposed to be my first car, buyt now that ibroke my pinion gear i may end up selling it and getting a 72' datsun 510 like i originally wanted, but i really dont know right now. I mostly want to do the ls7 swap mainly because it hasn't been done yet(not to a c4 at least) and i think it would be pretty cool to break loose at any speed
  12. Yea dave, we have california to thank for that. They made Chevrolet put a 305 in the 'vette in 74' then in 82' they said corvette's didnt pass emisions for that year, so no corvette for 1983, if california hadn't messed with chevrolet for so long in 2009 it wouldv'e been 66 years of straight corvett's and they already said they are making a corvette' for 2010, so that would have made 67 that is utill the government takes over and shuts down GM performance
  13. last i heard they were cleaning it up to see about either restoring it or keeping it original.....
  14. I wouldnt be intimidated by me either Just because i have a 'vette doesnt mean I know how ot drive it Your mustangs pretty cool, i didnt even know they made a mustang in 83' at first I thought it was a capri now you just need to find a big block to stuff in there
  15. That is a BIG motor!! Just the valve covers look intimidating! I'd love to go in the low 9's one day, but thats a very long way away I eventually want to do a ls7 swap with a six speed, then switch to a straight axle, but that will come as soon as I get my rb powered 510
  16. that wouldnt be the only thing gone, especially since its an ss. The front fascia would be gone, hte valve covers, the dizzy, heck most of the drivetrain! it looks great man! i'd do like some others have suggested, adding "debris" to the interior, maybe make it look like it got in a wreck at some point(bent exhaust tips, broken windows, dents and gouges) and maybe like something fell on it? maybe some guns shots? the possibilities are endless!
  17. you have a wife and a girlfriend???? you lucky sucker!!! Nice 'vette
  18. You gotta be kidding me!!!! Yes those are super rare! dont ever get rid of it! It would be even better if you can get the stock wheels! and worth more!
  19. Seems like some 3:55's are the best choice! you the fifth one to recomend those! I dont know how I managed to break some teeth off i figured it was just because its old
  20. Well we'll do those then Engine: 350 v8 small block, coupled to a 700r4 auto trans. Dana 36 spicer lsd rear wheel drive.(basically posi trac.) Exhaust cut off at y-pipe(a little extra hp. ) Spare tire delete. aluminum driveshaft(stock was steel) falken 255's front and back. option to remove roof, so that takes off 30 lbs or so (that extra weight made up by sound system ) Soon to be carbon fiber roof panel.
  21. I'm gonna need to see some spec's on the engine before i get intimidated here's the stock specs for my 'vette. Hp.-220 RWHP Torque- 290 lbs. per foot Base weight- 3,200 lbs. Those are supposedly what my 'vettes supposed to have, i need to put it on the dyno though so i can see what shes making, especially after i get some taller gears for the rear I may be getting some 2:82's for right now, but may upgrade to some 3:54's later on
  22. Of my 'vette? sure....... Enjoy
  23. george, you better be right im going with real to.
  24. only by a year!!! I've had mine up to 90 and didnt even realize it, it just feels comfortable to drive fast and take corners fast in a c4
  25. That's not the stig, i watch that show every time it comes on, the stig has a bigger upper body mass. and he's taller9about jeremy's height)
