I dont think i've ever seen a model of that car. Looks like alot of scrathbuilding. -
I dont know how many models i've got so furious over because i cant get it to look right, so i end up throwing away. It seems like i'm never happy with the way something turns out, like with this countach i'm building for the cannon ball run build off, I wasnt happy with the interior and the paint job, so now it's gonna have to take a dip in the purple pond dang ocd Anyone else have this problem? I dont think i've finished a model in the last year! I did finish a corvette in january, but i wasnt happy wihtthe engine and redid it, then opened the top and lost the contour of the windshield, so that went in the parts box I hope im not alone

Another idea about a build off
Corvette.Jeff replied to Corvette.Jeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Foxer gets it True san andreas had more of a earlier style of of cars, but this would be for all the gta games. Someone said earlier why not gran turismo, well gt is real world cars that you can modify, gta cars are based upon real world cars with subtle changes. Like my favorite car on gta4, the vigero, its based on a 69' camaro, but it has dual headlights, b pillars, custom tail lights, split mufflers in the middle of th erear bumper, i mena i could go on all day long! -
How'd you get the wheels to fit with the stock axles and such? I tryed it a while back(my skills are no where near yours) and they stuck out of the fender wells.

Wheel Search

It could be a number of aftermarket spoilers. If you plan to do a real mini truck in 1:1, it doesnt matter what it's made for, wiht enough modification anything can fit! -

I guess it could be any of the gta games! Remember folks this is just an idea running through my head! i have way to many projects on the ol' bench right now to start another one! One reason i think this would be a cool buildoff is the cars in the games are based off of production vehicles, but they look completley different. THey would also require a bit of custom body work, like on that pheonix, not only would you have to redoe the entire fascia of a firebird/camaro, but you'd also have to do the headlights, a custom hood, and motor  It would be a chance for some members that haven't tryed custom bodywork and panels a chance to tryit! and have fun doing so! But like everyones said, to many going on atm, i dont even have a kit to build the car i want to build! -
I agree, i used to have a little z car and this is bringing back memmories of late nights before i sold it! Great job so far!

Bring him back CB!!!! I really enjoyed seein' that little bugger!!!!

Some of the younger members(or you guy's that play video games) might be interested in this. I was wondering if any, how many people would be interested in doing a buildoff of the cars from the game Grand Theft Auto 4? Heres a list of the cars. http://jalopnik.com/394784/auto+inspiratio...d-theft-auto-iv The sad thing is thats not even all of the cars! theres 117 i think i read somwhere. I think it would be fun to do a buildoff of these. Becuase not only would it be fun to replicate, but it would also build your scratchbuilding skills, and custom body work skills. Would anybody be interested?

1969 Z-28 Interior Issue

The sms decals are going to be 1/25. i dont know if would look right, but maybe you could get some 1/18 carbon fiber decals and try that? -
Your best bet would be to start with the red one. Exspecially if your wanting to recreate the one pictured.
-
Im just absolutley loving this build
-
Also from the looks of it it has a removeable hard top.
-
That would have to be made from a few different kits, it has a 39' body, 37' fenders, what looks to be mustang mirrors, boyd wheels, and a 40's style grill. But anything is possible with money and bondo and time

My Old Cell Phone
Corvette.Jeff replied to James W's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
eh, my ipod is all scratched up from skating, and bmx, and just basic use. I've had it since the video came out(the one i have) and i've never gone a day without it in my pocket and my phone when i got it the paint had orange peel on the back so i imediatley snaded that down to the plastic and repainted it, now im trying ot redoe the whole pnohe. I guess i just like having custom stuff -

I'm in the middle of painting my phone and my ipod, red on the phone just isn't gonna cut it, and i'm just tired of having a black ipod -
build off's

I have a 69' shelby gt500 that i just got done painting, would that qualify? -
kid? man im probably older than you! Yes thats fujimi's model. Like i said though, its a long way from finished, and yes i still need to make the front spoiler and the fog lights. Still need to clear the body to(its just pieced together there) i may repain the interior to, i used a gray primer with a pebble(as close to beige as the paint store had) and i may try a black or dark grey primer and see if it looks better, plus the flash messed it up so i had to mess wiht the contrast a bit, and it started to rain right when i walked outside.

what do you guy's think?
Corvette.Jeff replied to Corvette.Jeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
One reason i want to paint it is, it used to be silver from the factory, but after 25 years she's starting to fade a bit i think the red would set it off really great, plus i might end up getting my lights blacked out. I put the bacon there because i was hungry -
what do you guy's think?
Corvette.Jeff replied to Corvette.Jeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Nah guy's im not trying to "rice it out" im just trying to make it look a little better, and to me it would look pretty cool, a nice dark red polished to a shine! I like the sound of those pink windshield wipers!!! maybe its just my infatuation with the whole 80's bmx thing???lol When i think of that "chrome" spray paint, it makes me think of c4 corvette fender guards! -
I'm talking about the emblem on the back of the bumper. (right above the license plate) I was thinking about painting it red, what do ya'll think?
