  1. I couldnt find my thread for my c4 corvette from when i was a little kid,So I'm creating a virtual garage for all my builds. First we have the c4 corvette of course. I had put a really nice coat of red on the inside and out(probably the best so far!) Then i put a coat of clear on it and it went down hill i didnt have a lot of clear so it messed up plus it was humid you'll notice i do have body filler in some spots, thats because I've shaved the door handles, and the marker lights. I have the hood with one headlight "open" for the 80's drifter style in the u.s.a. I'm also working on a cowl induction hood for it, I'm using the cowl off of a 69' camaro hood i had laying around and bondo'ed it to the hood, dont have any pictures because my ferret got to it and knocked it down where the cats could get it and it broke The newest addition is the Fujimi Lamborghini countach kit I'm doing for the cannon ball run build off. It'll be a little while before i start working on this one im going to try to go all out on it i mean flocking, headliner, full interior and exterior on it i would do engine detail but it's a curbside.
  2. Alright got my camera working, so heres some pictures. Sorry for the crappy quality, and lighting, since i've moved i cant use my workbench(it wont fit up the staircase ) This is with the body panels just mocked up(and the two piece doors (they were very hard to get aligned right! ) When i get ready to start doing the bodywork i'll post a picture of the multi piece doors(i want to make rolled down windows ) Thanks!
  3. Guitar is pretty easy to play, if a drummer can learn how to play i think anyone can learn how to play! I've been playing guitar for a few years now(off an on, my realy passion is my drum set) and Iv'e managed to piece together a couple of little songs(mostly to impress the ladies )
  4. That looks a little like my dads setup(he plays heavy metal from the 70's and 80's) Except his stack is a crate, and he plays a ibanez. I cant even name all the stuff that goes with his guitar, i know when he has his stack turned halfway to 11 its louder than the sound system in my car! which is over 700 watts! I mostly know about drums, i have an older taye setup that i've extensively tuned to my liking You cant go wrong with a double bass pedal either we used to have a whole room in our old house devoted to music stuff, me and my dad would go in and jam about once a week, Now that were in this smaller house we moved it all upstairs with me, it takes up over half of the upstairs and we still couldnt fit everything in!! I was really suprised to see how many people here play an instrument! the wide variety of the instruments played as well! I guess no one got the beans joke
  5. I got my countach kit in the mail yesterday! Fujimi does some really good detail work(now i understand why you like them so much Fuji! ) the only thing i dont like about the kit is there is hardly any engine detail at all the back hatch lifts up and all that, but im not even sure if they have an engine tray I'm trying to upload some pictures to my computer but its not wanting to right now Also Fuji, the only real difference in between the early countach's and the later ones(like in the cannon ball run movies) is the engine's. The earlier ones had smaller ones, and the latter ones had monstrous engines the big difference in between the 4000 and the 5000 is the wing, engine, fog lights, and options. I do need some help finding parts(I plan on doing more detailing to the interior since it doesnt have a engine) I some help locating the three whip antenna's that were on the bonnet, the CB radio, i also noticed during the fight scene and the race starting scene that on the drivers side of the cockpit, it had a carphone. It just wouldnt be the same car without the car phone, Does anybody have any leads on those items? Thanks,Jeff.
  6. I just checked out "the other forum" I'm sorry to anybody who really likes that forum, but to me that place blows!! it was very dull, odd to navigate, and they dont even have an off topic area! how am i supposed to be off topic 24/7? Again sorry to anyone who really likes that site, and for the mild language....Just the view of one 18 year old form Texas
  7. I have not read the second or the third page of this thread, i did however read most of the first(well one or two posts, give me a break I'm a teen from Texas ) I have no clue who this Jh guy is, or what the "other forum" is, but he sounds like a bid oh you know what! I use a magnifying glass on my own models, especially when shaving door handles and trim! It was said that the judge was an older person, he was griping about a old guy using a magnifying glass?!?! what is he 12? seriously from the sound of it that guy has some major growing up to do. I also have no intentions what so ever of joining any "other" scale car forum, because to me this is the only one, and it is the best one! i visit here more often then i visit my car forums anymore!!
  8. I always enjoy asking this question. Music basically saved my life, to me its up there with my parents and the big guy in the sky So who here plays an instrument?Even more than one is really cool! Me,I play Drums,Chorus Guitar,a A little solo electric,Acoustic Guitar,Bass guitar, and I've been getting more into screaming(not like yelling.lol) Kinda like Oli Sykes (i can only find the censored version on youtube) I know what some of the younger members on here are thinking, oh great ANOTHER bring me the horizon fan, whoopty doo. I like the way he screams, he can go from a pig squeal to a growl like its nothing, i wish i had his vocal cords anyways before i get totally carried away talking about music, anyone here play an instrument?
  9. Yea if i could find a good kit i already have the pictures, i Rebuilt one a few years ago with the help of my cousin. and thank you for the picture! i've been infatuated with first gen camaro's since i was into cars(basically forever!) so it would be cool to do one of those, but it would be really cool to do any car(i'd like to stay away from unibody's because most of them require you to keep the inner fenders) it'd be really cool to do a muscle car.
  10. Yeah harri i know about the clickable photo's i would love it if i could find some pictures of the roof without a headliner, or maybe some more pictures of the inside of the shell. George, if i could find a good kit of an fairlady z i would be able to do this project9i have tons of pictures of the one i used to have). but now that i've been thinking about it more and more, it would be cooler to do an all out fully detailed show car shell, like a full fabric interior, and all that good stuff(kinda like the people ran out of money and it got stranded in a garage on sawhorses or something like that).
  11. welcome, this is the first forum ive ever joined for model carr, and it is the best! everyone is super nice, about the photos i believe theres a tutorial on how to do that on the tips and tricks section. i would just say email it to me,but im on my cell phone for the week. good luck!
  12. yes fuji, the red corvette that sammy and dean martin drove in the second movie was a early c4 corvette, it was inbetween a 84' and a 86' i know this because of the tail lights, they were round and not rectangular, it was most likely a 84' since the movhe was made around then,
  13. Alright so dwc43 is building the white/red lambo from the second movie, and i am building the black one from the first movie. anyone else building anything? i may be able to put in a c4 corvette, but we'll see.
  14. so am i the only one thats entered?
  15. like the real life cannon ball? i believe this is a tribute build to those actors that we have lost.
  16. i was visiting a forum that i regular to find out my friend war shot and killed for no reason at all. i knew both him and his fiance both very well, along with his son. chris died two days ago in the afternoon, thats all i know, and that he was shot multiple times. he was only thirty two,he loved cars and was restoring a older chevelle. he was a great guy to talk with and would talk for hours if he got the chance, i havent talked to either one in a long time, but kept in touch. I ask that you please keep him and his family in your prayers please. Chris may you rest in peace untill we meet again. thank you, jeff
  17. well, were almost done moving,im still not all set up.lol (sorry cant do the smilies,im on my cell phone)i did find out today that the kit i ordered is from fujimi, not tamiya :/ im just waiting for it to be delivered.lol then its down to ordering more supplys!hahaha. about the dead line, what if we made the deadline for entering the buildoff in a month(this day next month) then the deadline for the build could be in january? its just an idea.
