Those are hot, good job!I like the wheels on the spyder but the white one is dope. The white car is a Lotus correct?

I love it!Thats the kind of builds I like the most. The intesity of light from the sun is making the pics too contrasty and washed-out,can't see all the detail.Wait for a cloud to cover a high sun or bring it indoors. Please try to take more pics and post them.TY

Dept store bikes are an absolute waste of your time and energy.Dept store bikes use the absolute cheapest components, frame material and design.Understand that full suspension bikes are normally for people that compete or the serious rider. You do not need a FS bike for commuting.A"hardtail" is the way to go,they are lighter to get you up any inclines efficiently.Dept store brands just try to emmulate.First of all people need to know what they want,if all ur doing is riding tarmac bike trails then a hartail with a rigid fork will do,you don't even need many gears. I have a s/s chromoly frame(rigid fork) mtn bike with disc brakes and this serves me just fine for training rides when I don't want to ride my road bike. Those Dept store bikes must be very uncomfortable, especially with the horrible geometry. As for the other end of the spectrum,I once had 5 bikes at once and 3 of them were over 5k at the time. You do not have to spend 5k to get a suitible bike and you certainly dont have to spend that much just to ride on the weekends.I never buy bikes off the rack,I always pice together what components I want on it.The first expensive bike that I bought was a Jamis Dragon man what a sweet ride that was I should never have sold it. Those Schwinns are very very nice!I love the cranks and the chainrings.

You know after taking a second look at the original posters picture I sort of think the problem isn't the smile look of the grill as it is the emblem,it pokes out and looks like a nose!LOL Is it me or is the emblem functional? Is that an air intake behind the emblem???Anyway the Mazda miata is my top 5 cars that I would buy.

spray booth explosion
oversteer replied to Bowtienutz's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I got a spraybooth from ebay for $238 with FREE SHIPPING!!!!!! It's a Paasche. It was delivered from the company in Chicago I believe. Its rated at 240-280cfm,is this sufficient? After reading this I figured cleaning it once a year would be a good idea? Model #is HSSB-22-16 I will be using a respirator, saftey glasses and rubber gloves. -
We've all seen uglier faces. That shot looks distorted due the the proximity of the subject to the lens.

This Wild cat is the very first model I have ever done(except when I was like 8).I'm using Testors contour putty, hope it works.Once I hook up the exhaust I can spray primer.Really I don't care if it comes out horrible because I realize thats a part of learning.I haven't decided on the colors yet.
-
I was gonna build one but after I searched E-Bay and came up with this Paasche for a good price and it was at my door two days later. It certainly is big enough. Now all I have to do is hook up the exhaust to the window, get a respirator and I'm there.Got some catalougs and books on modeling.

Thats some nice box art!I see there are some overly sensitive people on this board,as in life.I guess if you have a problem with how Tamiya does business maybey you should contact THEM to report your concern.Otherwise just because you have to have the last word doesn't make you more intelligent.Thats all I'm going to say about that.

This is my race bike,I just had it built up in April.

Thats a cool car.I would love to have seen how you did the wheels.

Ahhhh Gregg thats interesting,I compete here in NYC.I suppose you out of all people know what a major dedication it is to race without being dropped.I started riding seriously at about 32 to shed 40lbs and went from there.I havent done a single race this year yet,the weather is so crazy. Two weeks ago it was 85 and at the moment its 50 degrees.Over the weekend we had 75mph winds!I bet Hawaii must be a great place to train.

Just wondering why does it take people so long to finish a model? Not that I could do better but 10 years??Is it because of the many problems they run into during the corse of building and the subsequent decisions that they sometimes need to ponder?
