  1. Very nice work, specially the detail paint on window frames etc.
  2. Very very nice - you sure know how to lay down a killer paint job.
  3. I love these Lincolns and you did a beautiful job! From doing a 65 I know the fender-top foil is very difficult but you did it perfectly. Brilliant.
  4. Someone should start a thread about what to do with old model car boxes...
  5. You do the best truck interiors I've ever seen. Fantastic!
  6. Wow, that's one stand-out original model. Brilliant.
  7. Wow, nice work, looks great!
  8. Very nice work!!! Love the outdoor pics.
  9. Thanks for further comments. Amazing. That reminds me of the story of the first pre-production Lamborghini V-12 presentation: it later leaked out that much of it was made of wood!
  10. Looks great! If that's your second model then you're a natural talent.
  11. Truely incredible model, you're a master of so many techniques. I'm sure this will stand as a model hot-rod benchmark for many years to come.
  12. I know, I could see the glow from Zürich.
  13. I have a feeling the model is going to turn out great - you obviously know what you're doing. Get well soon. (Drunken drivers should be banned - from driving, from drinking, from eating....)
  14. Thanks everyone, you made my day! Matt, as a photographer I'm a total beginner on a borrowed camera and this is the only type of shot I can do. The camera doesn't respond well to more distance from subject - could be just me though. But thanks for the tip anyway. Ray, I had the lenses painted on the sprue and had removed them cleanly but lost them one after the other as soon as I started to handle them - never even saw in which direction they flew. Sonny, that Top Gear car was my inspiration. I would have gone with wire wheels too but I didn't much care for the kit items.
  15. Looks great! That colour really suits the car, very real-world.
  16. Now that's an offer I would have been interested in before international postal charges went through the roof. I should point out though that the boxes I've bought were all pre-1963 and in excellent condition. I might be mad but I'm choosy.
  17. Presentable? IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
  18. Thanks Charlie and David. Just after I'd finished painting this one (yes, I was going for the box illustration) I saw a photo of a light blue one and wished I'd done it like that. Maybe it was one from your squad David.
  19. I seem to remember that Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason paid about £20,000 for his 64 GTO.

Beautifully clean and precise work, like everything you build.
  21. Beautiful replica Ron, you really nailed it. The Road Runner too - wonderful!
  22. Finally got this one finished and I'm quite pleased with the result but now I'm going to do another couple of Johans to recover! Many thanks to BVC500 for sending me replacement lenses for the ones I lost. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki There should be tiny lenses (1mm, the smallest parts I ever saw in a kit) on the front fenders behind the wheels but these propelled themselves into orbit within seconds of being freed from their tree. I believe not all Daytonas had them anyway. The Ferrari script, "cavallino rampante" badge and the doorlocks are chrome decals from Global Toy in China. The exhaust tips are aluminium tubing and the wipers are PE because I broke one of the kit items. Hosted on Fotki The seats are detailed with painted Letraline tape. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki A bit of wiring added under the hood, more decorative than prototypical. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  23. Very cool! When I was 14 this kit was new and I built the same version you did - but of course not NEARLY as nicely. Thanks for the nostalgia.
