  2. I did finish stripping the body ttoday. I will reprime it to start fresh.
  3. Thanks Steve. I will try your technick for the Primer Sealer. Usually i only put a couple of coats. But I will go back and put 5 coats on the Rambler. Then try the color again.
  4. I guess I thought the thinner made it dry too fast and that is why I got the roughness. It does sand easily but i was hoping for an easier path.
  5. I decanted some BIN sealer yesterday. I added some 70% alcohol n a 2 to 1 ratio. I sprayed it but it came out really ruff. Do you have to thin the aerosol after you decant it?
  6. Thanks Dave. I do use an Oil-less compressor plus 2 water seperators. 1 at the Compressor and 1 close to the Air Brush.
  7. Could it be I am putting it on too thick? I using my medium needle in my air rush which I use for every pint I have ever sprayed.
  8. I am not thinning it. It sprays fine out of the can.
  9. Dave it could be craters like you said. They look like fish eyes but seem to be deep too. I should have taken picks to show every one.
  10. I have use both the Testors Wet Look clear and Tamiya Lacquer decanted with no problems through my setup. The fisheyes aren't all over the car. Just a spot on the hood.
  11. Another note is I have been using Splash 2K clear and have never had any issue like this. I use the same process for both. The fish eyes have happened both using my setup and my buddies. Both times the 1K was decanted then sprayed from my air-brush.
  12. Just to confirm you haven't had any fish eyes when you shot it from the can?
  13. I have been using this paint decanted on several bodies. I like the results but I have gotten a few fish eyes in a few places. Not sure why? Any ideas?
  14. I agree. The DC-8 cargo plane was beyond belief. I was glad to be part of that diaroma.
  15. Thanks Larry. Since I built that for the Lynx project and no longer have possesion of it, I need to build one for myself. Good thing I made it a trans kit and have resin copies to work from.
  16. That's interesting. I was using a small square jewlers file. I can see how the triangle file might bee easier to use.
  17. Great article. Thanks for posting Charles.
  18. Thanks Tim. I really appreciate your comments. It was great to finally meet you at GSL.
  19. That has crossed my mind. But I wanted to check out other possibilities that would be more accurate.
  20. I do but there are a lot of them. Do you have specific areas you would like to see?
  21. I started with this kit then 7 years later!
  22. Thanks Bill. I will give it some more tries.
  23. The Scott Bailey who owned Automotive Quarterly bought a 1965 Mustang Fastback and sent it to Bertone in Italy along with $35,000 to make this Italian Mustang.
  24. I built the Bertone Mustang for the GSL Lynx Project. Here are the finished pics I took just before I went to Salt Lake.
  25. I need to cut several sqaure hole in a cowl to match the photo below. I tried drilling a small hole then using a small square file to finish it. But it wasn't clear enough. Any other suggestions?
