Mine will be built using the MCG Nove Photo etch set which takes care of the front grill. A yenko badge goes over the rear SS that is done. The only thing I need is a bench seat for the from.

Looks like the Yenko 427 Nova out. Anybody got to shot some pics of the new pieces?

I ordered mine from Strada yesterday for $208 plus shipping. Can't wait to get this kit.

I widh I could help but I didn't get any pictures myself. However it did win Custom, Best Chassis, Bet Interior and the Bob Barnett Nostalgia awards. It has a scatch built chassis and interior.

Actually Perry's Resin did the 69 Camaro that was matered by Randy Derr. He is the one I did awhile back.

I love the color you picked Peter. Yes mine is the resin trans kit. What kit supplied the 427 engine for your car?

Thanks for everyone's input. I did what Dave said and went out and turned a radiator overflow tank for my Cobra Daytona. Went pretty good since I was clueless. Took about an hour. I will post some pick tomorrow.

Thanks David for the info. I did buy Joe's book about 6 mos ago before I got the lathe to make sure this is what I wanted to do. I will chuck some aluminum rod and take a few passes to see what happens.

Actually Harry I was hoping to get some how to's to get me started.

I got a Sherline Lathe for Christmas. Anybody have a lathe? If so can you give me an easy part to turn for some practice?

Good idea Dan. I would like to know the expected release date of the 69 Yenko Nova 427 from Revell. I looked at thier website & Tower Hobbies yesterday and did not seen any reference.

That was a 1/18th diecast from GMP.

Let me add some addtional information. The car I built was the 69 Red Mr. Gasket car which originally came with a 1 piece Clear body. The resin body done by AFX was based on the 69 Clear Body kit. My car is based on the AFX resin body with the nose seperated. They also did a "correct" 67 nose for the Malco Gasser which was the "blue" car. There was also a corrected 67 Resin Body done by Fremont Resins, but they closed a couple of years ago. Below is a link to my album of my build of the 69 Red Car. Email me if you have any ????
