  2. Very nice work! Lovin those old stockers!
  3. Very clean! Super job on the vinyl top & BMF!
  4. Sweeeeeet.....very iconic car. Great job!
  5. Hey All! I have always loved all of the Novas in the 60's and 70's. When I saw this model from AMT on the shelf at the hobby shop, I just had to buy a couple. Paint is Testors "Metallic Blue" with a couple coats of clear. I also made some additions to my diorama, so it was a good place to take some photos. Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome.
  6. Hey Bob! That is a very good question. I will have to go back and look at the kit box & instructions. I.M.O. that was one of the coolest features of the car. Good catch! Thanks for your comments guys! They can only make me a better builder (I hope).
  7. I agree with you Steve! The carbs are very boxey looking. Maybe I should have dropped some extra coin and bought a resin version with more detail. But....still one of my favorite builds. It's now under glass. Thanks for the kind comments guys! P.S. Speaking of under glass... can you believe the cost of plastic display ca$e$ these days?!
  8. Hey all! This is one of my builds I'm most proud of. It's a Revell 69 GTO Judge. The kit can be built as a 68 or 69 version. It includes a 68 & 69 front end pieces along with 68 & 69 front and rear grille/bumpers. You also get two different hoods, engine options and decal graphics. I opted for the 69 Judge using "Hugger Orange" paint with a clear coat over that. Thanks for looking! Comments always welcome.
  9. That is one sweet "RAIL"! Very clean. Nice work rim to rim!
  10. Thanks for your comments guys. That is my reward for the build. I also scored a bottle of Jack from my friend!
  11. That is a great point -Deuces II: I was hoping to distract everyone with the huge Injector tubes! In hide-sight the distributor wires are quite a mess. I could/should have done better. I was trying to achieve the Ed Roth over all look! Thanks for the comment.
  12. Nice, nice very nice! Great kit build..I love Nova builds!
  13. I build this car for my friend to replicate his first car, back in the day. Thanks for looking!
  14. Thanks for the comments guys! David -I copied a wood pattern off the internet then printed it on ink-jet decal paper. The same was done for the interior pattern.
  15. I originally built this kit when I was about 10 or 11 years old. Back then it was molded in black. I didn't do any painting. Mainly because there wasn't much available in the way of spray paint back then. Now I get another shot at trying the build again. The interior was done with home made decals. The tires and wheels are from my parts stash. Thanks for looking.
  16. I've been in a building slump for the past several years. I finally got some motivation & inspiration to finish a couple builds. This is one of the first kits I completed. The truck is mostly box stock, except for the scratch built exhaust system. I used AMT Custom & Competition Goodyear Polyglas GT tires. The color is Testors one coat lacquer "Purple-licous". Comments welcome. Thanks for looking!
  17. Great build, very clean car. You nailed that color. Super job on the graphics. I really miss NASCAR! Thanks for sharing.
  18. Thanks for the comments guys! Snake45, the paint is Testors one coat lacquer "Mythical Marron". Thanks for asking.
  19. Hey all! This is a kit-bash using an AMT 60 Ford Ranchero with the 427 engine from an AMT Mustang Super Boss Funny Car. Thanks for looking!
  20. The detail is totally amazing. I am speechless! Well done!
  21. This is Dale Earnhardt Sr’s #3 Monte Carlo. With Autographics Goodwreck decals. These were trimmed to make the paint look like it was peeling off. Thanks for looking.
  22. This is a build I recently finished. "Revell 69 GTO Judge". All Box Stock except for the wired distributor from "Morgan Automotive Detail" (great stuff). Very nice kit with a few fit issues. Comments always welcome.
  23. Thanks Robert! It was a nice flash back to my 50-60's model building roots. Very easy and fun kit. The BRP resin body needed very little prep. Some of the donor kit parts did need a little work to fit nicely. All and all the conversion was fairly painless. Thanks for the comment. AMT 427 Hilborn injected mill.
  24. Race cars, my first love! I built several of the AMT Funny Car versions (Edsel-"Unreal", Falcon, 64 Chevelle-"Time Machine"). This build started with the Chevy 2 Funny car as a donor kit. It's a very simple kit. The 65 wagon body is a resin kit (body and interior). Decals are custom/homemade. I always wanted to do this conversion build. I finally had the time and money...Comments always welcome!
  25. Thanks Dennis! And thanks for everyone's great comments. Here's a shot of the bed. These are the custom home made decals I used.
