  1. Gary, After painting an eraser will remove the paint, leaving the "chrome" letters.
  2. "Two doors too many." I like the way you think!!! That's a really super job on the bodywork and frame. Anxiously waiting for more...
  3. Whoo! That looks like a lot of work but the finished build is well worth the effort. Beautiful work and a one of a kind project.
  4. Looking good. That's a great looking kit. Are those the kit's wheels and tirres? ps...Your right front tire is mounted backwards...
  5. Hmmm, do I need a pair of those drag radials? I think I do! Nice work so far and you've improved the 67 Malibu (?) headers 100%
  6. Hey that's pretty cool. Have you seen the Round 2 Snap kits that are coming out? Similar idea. http://round2models.com/models/looney-tunes
  7. Fantastic work. I really like the chassis design. Simple but effective.
  8. You mean like this?. Yep, I like that too. Then again, I'm a sucker for a Sedan Delivery (& a readhead.... Mmmmm readheads) WTH is a "readhead"? I really like the look of this build already. I wonder how close the old Switchers body looks compared to this...
  9. Now that's how you build a "Hot Rod".

    Drag racers

Paul, Both are beauties. Perfect paint, perfect foil, perfect decals... Very nice. Might I ask what your finishing process is once painted?

    Citation

Nice job on the Citation. I wasn't aware there was a kit of it. The Citations were "groundbreaking" when first introduced. I drove many of the X body cars from Chevy and Buick. They were fairly comfortable and had good acceleration. The Buick model had a sporty version that was extra nice. Oh,and the first one I drove swallowed a valve. They were a great source of income for GM especially from the rental companies.
  12. Umm, I really like this build. Very neat and tidy and full of wonderful detail. Also... GREAT COLOUR.
  13. Looking good! I often use a black marker. If you choose that route be sure to get the "industrial" version or whatever they call it. It has a large tip but it won't run and won't leave that nasty bluish or purple tint that the regular black markers do.
  14. John, That is an awesome piece of work, absolutely beautiful. I can see it winning trophies everywhere! One question for you; where did the slick come from?
  15. I've done a few of the Revell kits and prefer them. The intake manifold on that AMT engine looks like it's from another kit; doesn't fit nearly as well as the Revell. Love the painting!
  16. What I'm saying is build it the way you want it to be, call it done and enjoy it. If after you want to go the route of the insane and try to fix the inaccuracies in the Revell/Monogram kit, drop me or Cato a note and I will be glad to share my research , plans and drawings with you and we can skip off to the loony bin together. Enjoy your model and have fun, that is what it's all about. Well said, Darin. Here's a link to CSX 3287 which sold locally recently. http://www.legendarymotorcar.com/site/Shelby_Cobra_427_9116
  17. C'mon, share. There are probably a lot of us that would be uinterested...please.
  18. Nice work you're doing there Davin. I really like the way the door hinges came out, never having done that myself. Also you've taken on a lot of work with the PE parts but I'm sure the results will make it worthwhile. Somebody suggested that the plastic springs would be better (back there a few pages...)If REAL springs were 25 times (1/25 scale model)the size of the kit parts I figure the stack of springs for the rear end would be about 4 to 5 inches thick. PE is the winner in this case. Keep it going...
  19. Great pics, many thanks. Anybody know who brought the Chuck Poole Chuckwagon?
  20. Rats. I just painted mine 2 days ago and didn't add any details so far other than paint on the chassis and engine. If I had seen this thread a few days ago I'd have another never ending build on my hands. I do admire your detailing efforts and it'll look great when finished. I'll be following wit great interest.
  21. I'm afraid I can't help with the resin calipers. You might ask Ron Andrews from Race Motor Resins. He might be able to lead you in the right direction if he doesn't do them. (andrews_544@hotmail.com)

BTW those resin sheets also appear in 1/24 sometimes.

  22. There were a lot of good suggestions, I think. You've got the final say. I have a question though. What's the app you were using to view the names on your screen? Thanks
  23. That's a clean and clever build Steve. A sleeper it is NOT!
  24. Uh, I must have misread Greg's message. I didn't get the impression that he was blaming anybody. Joe, how is it that complaints about the email notifications could cause the board to close? Please, I'd really like to know.
  25. Absolutely stunning work, Peter. I'm sure there are many of us waiting to see the finished model. The trio you plan to build sounds like a great collection!
