  1. Really cool 59.
  2. Good looking build. I always wanting to take one of these and try to make a stock version panel. Any ways great looking build.
  3. This is another older build of mine. Its is a Revell 41 Chevy That has the complete chassis and drivetrain from the Dodge Sidewinder Concept. Only mods to the chassis was moving the engine mounting points back and trimming the exhaust to fit. I had to widened the fenders and running board to fit chassis. I sectioned the cab and hood. Grille was molded into the body. Rear pan was from the Sidewinder molded into chevy bed. Tail lights are from a 65 impala. Bed floor was raised to fit chassis. Tail gate molded in. The dash was smoothed and the dash pods from the sidewinder kit molded in. Seats and console also from sidewinder. Scratch built door panels. Paint is Krylon Safety Yellow with a purple pearl gloss coat. More older builds to follow. Thanks for looking..
  4. Last ones. All in the Family
  5. A few more. I noticed that tail pipe is missing on this. Hope I can find it.
  6. Here are a couple more older builds of mine. First we have Revell's micro-bus. Lower half of Monograms Testarossa molded to vw body. Chassis is the back half of the Testarossa grafted to the front half of the VW. Drive train is from the Tetarossa. It has a custom interior. Paint is Krylon gloss Teal and Ivory white. Up next is Tamiyas New Beetle mixed with Ferrari Mythos. Chassis is from the Mythos complete with engine. Modified wheel openings to fit frame. Interior is also from the Mythos modified to fit VW. Paint is Krylon Sun Yellow.

  9. You can buy kits from Fred's Model World. I have bought kits from him at great prices. Also you can try local model shows. Or even try Craigslist .
  10. Played lead guitar in my brothers band for several years. Now I am teaching my grand daughter how to play. We even got her an electric guitar for Christmas.
  11. This is a 1960 Chevy Truck. Body has been converted into a uni-body by molding cab and bed together. Roof was replaced with a modified Fireball 500 item. I opened the grille up and put the turn signals in the headlights. I molded the front bumper into the body. Scratch built rear tail lights. I replaced the turn signals in the hood with some screen so this puppy can breathe. Scratch built the gas cap and the rear upper and lower spoilers. I also cut some heat diffusers into the hood. The seat, console, fire extinguisher are from my parts box. Scratch built door panels. Dash was made from the original dash, they were cut and modified to fit. Engine was taken from a corvette ZR-1. Scratch built the air intakes. Chassis has the front and rear frame rails and suspension from a nascar crafted to it. Wheels and tires are Pegasus Diablos. Paint is rattle can Krylon Red.
  12. Another 50 Chevy truck. This has been chopped, sectioned, and pie cut. Chassis and engine are from the AMT Wagonrod including tires and wheels. The bed has been shortened to fit the frame. Made some inner tubs for the bed. Rear fenders have been widened and raised higher on the bed, then I added material to the bottoms of the front and rear fenders to bring them closer to the ground. Makes it look LOW. The dash was smoothed then I added the dash pods from a VW Beetle to it. Made a custom cone for the truck. Pint is Krylon Teal green with a blue pearl gloss cote.
  13. I was hoping to see this after the lost post ordeal. Glad to see you are still working on it.
  14. Another repost: This is one of my very first builds when I returned to the hobby in 1999 or 2000, it is an 1950 Chevy truck that has an 88 chevy truck bed attached to it. The lower portions of the cab were made to match the bed. Chassis is also from the 88 chevy truck. Wheels and tires are from the Dodge Concept car. Engine is taken from a Corvette. Interior is from the Dodge Stealth modified to fit cab. Paint is Krylon Safety Orange with a purple pearl gloss cote.
  15. Lately I have been unable to do any building due to not having anytime to do anything else but life in general. It has been awhile since I have been able to post any new builds so I thought I might post some older builds to help inspire me to get building again. This is an Tamiya Celica body and interior but I used the chassis and engine from a C5 Corvette.
  16. Here is another build from my past. This is a 40 ford with a chopped top, custom made bed and tailgate. Front and rear fenders were extended. Engine is from the Mustang Super Stallion. Interior is a modified mustang interior. Chassis and wheels are from the Smoothster. Will post more past builds later..
  17. I tried Russell C's and Lunajammer 's idea on how to repost lost topics and it seemed to work on this build. Thanks Russell and Mike
  18. Posted 05 December 2014 - 07:11 AM Since I have not been able to build anything lately, I thought I might post a few of my older builds to get some encouragement to start building again. Hope you enjoy the blast from my past. This was an Revell Futura with a Studebaker top added. Window frame is an 56 Corvette as is the interior. Engine and chassis also Studebaker. Front bumper is a narrowed Thunderbird unit. Will post more past builds later..
  19. This is the same thing I get, So where is this teensy solid down arrow at the end of the second line. Inquiring minds would like to know. Thanks I advance
  20. I have seen this before somewhere.
  21. Any progress on your build Mike...
  22. Hey Harry I am voting real on this one. Details are outstanding on this build. Johns builds always makes me want to give up on model building. But not yet....
