  1. Thanks, guys! The 1/25 D series was a D14, I beleive. Started out as a mail in premium. I think a company called Yoder bought the molds, and sold built ups, including one in clear styrene. There also was a set in 1/25 with a WD and some implements as well.
  2. Um, no. Material removal from a injection molding tool makes the part larger, or even more out of whack. Although most tools are made to the small side, to allow for tool wear over time(and according to the material), Welding it back up and recutting is not half the deal it might seem to be. Especially in the era of CNC mills. Biggest issue I face is when a supplier sources a tool from China, and then has it sent over on a boat to a NA facility. If it needs rework, you end up getting a local guy to do it, because of the cost and time to send it back to China. In fact, a lot of my suppliers are now sourcing tools in the US or Mexico after getting burnt on the Chinese tools.
  3. Surely you don't mean a 73-79 F100/150? I can say those would sell even better than the current releases. But the cash cow would be the 66-77 first gen Bronco. Why have we had to wait for so long?
  4. Thanks, Paul and Carl. Surely someone has built the ERTL kits? I believe there was a Deere, IH and a Massey Ferguson, and some implements too in the Blueprinter series.

There is a A-C club in Minnesota that does special resin models every year for the de facto National allis show. Pricey, but many of the subjects only came from those releases.   6. Not sure if I have posted these here before or not. Anyhow, I also dabble in restoring/customizing diecast tractors. I have a pretty good collection of Allis Chalmers in all scales.   7. Just the standard Z11 GT engine, with a 4speed. That's all it needed, really. The rear control arms had wallowed out the mouts on the body, and I even spit the spider gears out of the rear end on a clutch dump. It was fun to embarass the British sports car guys in the twisties! The short block had been sleeved, and I had fantasies of hanging a couple Weber 45DCOE's and a header on it, but a frozen advance in the distributor caused terminal detonation. It was a Vega, after all, and there was always something that needed fixin'. But you are correct, some of my best memories involved that car!

  16. I noticed that the decal sheet has the '72 scripts for the bedside. Is anyone planning on making PE sets for all the script variations? (Explorer, Ranger- NOT XLT-, Custom, cab badges for CC, Camper Special)

  19. I'll have to look for those then. I know there are several bodystyles available in Resin, but man are they expensive. I had a '59 Fairlane 500 2dr post for a while, but had to sell it when I lost the storage space. Dad bought a Sunliner new in '59. One day I might get around to building all three.
  20. Wow. Brings back a flood of memories. We had this exact model and color combo when I was a kid. First car I remember in the family. Memories of going squirrel hunting with dad, and remembering the T-bird fender ornaments frosted over and looking like silver dollars. When dad traded it to my uncle for a '60 Chevy pick up, I cried. Didn't talk to him for a week. It had a 292 and the 3 speed auto, and the factory stainless skirts too. Excellent job man. What kit did you use?

  22. I wonder if the trim will be separate? Ranger/XLT, Explorer, and Custom side trim and tailgate panels are all different. Apologies if this has already been addressed in the previous 29 pages, but I read the post religiously and don't remember seeing any answer.beltline molding, but no EDIT** I see the test sprues have what appear to be the Ranger/XLT beltline molding. Based on this, I would assume the appropriate tailgate panels will be included for at least the Ranger/XLT
