  1. Excellent build. Makes me want to break my original issue out. I think I have the detail set and gauge decals to boot.
  2. You have a great building style. Very nice from every angle.
  3. Dragline

    JD's 2+2

    Fantastic build right there.
  4. Im big on subtle myself. I was mostly thinking aloud. It does look legit. Well done.
  5. Looks like I gotta get one now and do his car. I appreciate the info brother.
  6. Is this the car Tony Stark drives in Avengers Endgame?
  7. Easily one of ,if not, the most impressive big rig I have ever seen. The sheer magnitude of effort is undeniable. The end result is indeed a thing to be proud of. Well done Sir...
  8. Are you planning on hairspray or chipping fluid for this? It looks to my eye like you bottom coat will look great poking through a top coat. AK makes a superb chipping fluid. So does Vallejo. That is of course if you're using acrylic. If not, then it's the salt mines for this Ford.
  9. That first shot has 1:1 written all over it. Truly captures their ride.
  10. OK that is CRAZY awesome! I had no idea this existed. Bug Bomb was the first model I ever built. To see it like this is so super. I love Herbie as well so it is a winner all around. Your model is special indeed. It came out super dooper to boot.
  11. Great finishes and superb detailing. Looks like a labor of love to me.
  12. Worked on this most of the afternoon and after supper. Looks like a buff and some BMF are all that are keeping this from the shelf.
  13. Wow, you dont play.. Every choice is a winner. And Im not much of a green guy either.
  14. That's one sinister looking Monte right there. Right out of some horror movie. Well done.
  15. This is the kit that started it all for me. My Dad owned a leather and "head" shop and next door was a hobby shop. One day he brought me in there and said I could pick out whatever I wanted. I saw this box art and it came home with me. Ive never been the same since.
  16. I love lacquer paint. Laid it down yesterday and today you could drive a nail with it. I cannot say enough nice things about the engineering of this kit. Almost Tamiya like. I think my choice of white was a good call here. The kit decals laid down smoothly and reacted to solution well. A littlIe detail painting of the dash and I really have something here.
  17. Thanks fellas. This kit is a dream to assemble and very well engineered. There was half of me that saw that blue and instantly thought chipped paint and rust. The other half reached for thw 3M compound to start polishing it. I do like my color choices and they are period-ish. Once the white cures and I can decal the interior pieces Ill mock it up but really it is in the home stretch.
  18. As usual you will crush this Joe. Looks to me like you are off and running and it looks great.
  19. Cop Out was among some of the first glue kits I ever built. I have fond memories so Ill probably end up buying this one. Some nice bright red is called for here. And some new tires from the parts box. Maybe a better engine. Im pretty sure I have a few 90s funny cars that can donate an engine.
  20. Now that I'm back building vehicles now and then I went through old 1/2 builts and new kits to see what was what. I pulled this one out thinking I would do a full WIP on it. Curses, foiled again! It seems I already had it going. I left a note when I packed it and all I wrote was "white interior". So that is what I did. Shot the seat, door cards and dash in semi white. The grey decals should look bitchin. Chassis is stock I just changed a few colors. Paint is I believe Testors Turquoise. It is darker than the photo since I used a flash. After a buff and a few decals Ill call it done.
  21. That is vicious. Very well done in every aspect.
  22. Why in the world is that? It is either messy or scary. I'M going w scary
  23. Man! That is nice! Well done brother...
