  1. It certainy does. I built one for a friend when it came out. It still resides in his office to remind him of what he had and what he gave up to have his current family. He says no regrets, the model makes him happy.
  2. Amy news as to the IROC? That is one kit I am positively giddy to see once again.
  3. That is a seriously groovy time capsule Tim.
  4. Gorgeous build and color choice. Stunning at every angle.
  5. A few of those shots could pass for real. Quite a scale to work in. I know because I build 40K and smaller resin figures.
  6. Time well spent at the bench I would say. Very well done.
  7. Awesome story Dave. Having a connection so profound with a vehicle is something thay stays with us always.
  8. You'll forgive me as I see none of the flaws you are talking about Ray. All I see is a bitchin GT in a very nice yellow waiting to scream down the Mulsanne Straight. Well done brother.
  9. You pulled it off somehow T. This kit is frustrating to builders of all stripes. As you mentioned the ill fitting wheels I recall several other items. You not only survived but came out the other side with a brilliant build.
  10. Very nice build. We all see the flaws in our work as they glare at and mock us every time we look at our builds. Meanwhile the rest of the world see our creations as a whole and rarely see our booboo's.
  11. This is my first ever Camping World/Nastruck build and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The manual seemed vague in a few spots but after a few searches of images I believe everything is in its correct position. Decanted Duplicolor white enamel and Testors Willow green with a touch of blue/black got the shade close, then readied with lacquer thinner through my airbrush. The decals were iffy being on such a tanned backing paper. I was suspicious if they would wprk, but they did fine. The Q on the hood tints the white underneath just a tad. It looks better in person as I think my phone exaggerates it. Not much else to say except the angled supports that go through the window and rear cover are sitting in the box. I made the removable but left them out for pics. When it finds a home on the shelf I will install them. These are really sweet little trucks with big power and noise. This truck has a great stance and is all attitude.
  12. Good choice on the tires. And good advice as well. It sits perfectly.
  13. Stunning car and beautiful build.
  14. Got to head out to work at 5 so I have been steady at it all afternoon. Wanted to mock the windshield and set it on the chassis to see how it all looks. I am pleased.
  15. Grill surrounds painted and all decals for the front applied. All that is left are the red stripes and the lower valance and I will be wrapping this up. It was a fun build and a very convincing result if I do say so.
  16. Decals are 85% done with just the red stripe and the headlights and markers left. Buffed off the mist of green that came through and am getting ready to paint the vent surrounds on the grill in silver. Ill mask off the lower front valance and shoot it aluminum which I should have done first. I should be able to do that without causing a calamity.
  17. I was away for nearly 2 years. I went down a rabbit hole of miniatures and that entire culture of using acrylics and all that entails. But I would come by here on occasion and look in on what was happening. I was signed out when I looked. But then the bug hit me again and here I am.
  18. Looks authentic to me. AMT seemed to have clear parts issues at this point in time. The Firebird also has an ill fitting rear windoe.
  19. That is a beautiful shade. Like cinnamon or something. Sets off the wheels just right. Real sanitary too.
  20. Not sure why the Q on the hood has an off white center. It looks fine in person. Perhaps just a 1/2 of a 1/2 shade darker but not terribly noticable. Just the phone camera I spose.
  21. Got the green shot last night and took the tape off this afternoon. I am very pleased that the line is sharp and clean. Just a light mist on the spoiler and one on the roof which will buff off once dry. Now it is the iffy decals, but if the ones I have already applied are any indication it should go smooth enough. Not so iffy after all.
  22. Truly a stunner. Looks great among your other treasures.
  23. Best sleigh ever brother Bob. Your creativity seems limitless.
  24. This is looking very nice indeed. Every installment adds yet another detail.
  25. That Sudafed idea ia pure genius. You'll forgive me if I swipe it. As for the rest. .. Keep your chin up and never let em see you sweat
