  1. That is looking smart. Shoehorn that motor and you really have something.
  2. I have this kit and there is just something about that dash. It's a great design.
  3. Good looking truck Kim. I also dig your Youtube channel. Ive commented many times.
  4. My first real girlfriend Debbie had a Levis version. It was a total POS but I had a lot of firsts associated with that car. It's staring out awesome, Ill be watching.
  5. So good it makes my eyes hurt. You spent your time wisely Sir.
  6. Fantastic build. You really nailed it with the blue.
  7. Same here when it comes to tastes. If it interests me Ill build it. Ill seebwhat pics I can dig up.
  8. Very nice MaK brother. Not much appreciation for it around here. But I do. I have the Kuster kit and a few others. I built a snowman and a Luna Gans. If I find pics Ill put em here.
  9. The pleasure is mine TB. I realized it was an old build once I went and looked at your initial post. I am still gobsmacked as to why it didnt win. I gotya see what was on that table, but I gotta believe nothing was close to this. I suppose over the years you get over it but still. Let me congratulate you yet again on a very fine achievement.
  10. N extremely ambitious projecy that you are absolutley killing. The car woodwork is simply amazing and the boat is more of the same. Ill be watching with awe.
  11. Now that is an awesome build right there. Put in the time and these Tamiya kits always deliver.
  12. What an incredible achievement only to be snubbed. That far and away fails to describe your work here as the ambitious and extremely well executed trio of models you have here. This has vision, design, as well as forward thinking practicality. How this just didnt win outeight says a LOT about the cars that did win. BTW, who did win, and with what? I gotta know.
  13. This trio is simply ourstanding from top to bottom Tim. Right off the bat I gotta ask is..... Let me go read your other post instead of asking answered questions there.. Let me just say this about the trailer. Holy S#!% is that inventive! A bit of envy is running through me as I picture this in MY collection rather than yours. The concept of it being entirely Charger is the tip of it. The decals arehome brewed no doubt. Great design behind it all. WOW...
  14. Truly fantastic. There is a lot of hard work involved here and that is clear. The stowage and accesories are all well executed. Well done and I know I speak for everyone when I say thanks for quitting lurking and participating.
  15. Ive watched your videos in the past. You always crush it. I have to ask. Is this the Trumpeter molded kit? I have one in tje stash and it looks great. Ive looked it over several times and I feel Im ready.
  16. Looks great. Maybe a better background that features the build a little better. Im guilt of having busy backgrounds myself. I have the Trumpeter 109G. Some day Ill tackle it.
  17. This is the now ancient Tamiya kit. Not sure of the year, this is the one that came with the rider and the stand. I have the rider in primer as of this afternoon and plan on mounting it on the stand. I bought this and the Kenny Roberts YZR500 w/ rider at the same yard sale many years ago. I forgot what I paid but it was a yard sale so it couldnt have been much. Ill call this done for now and add the rider and stand when they are ready. Oh and some of the decals are missing I know. They were already on the brink and I managed to save the bulk but l lost a few. Paint is Tamiya X7 I believe.
  18. That color combo is always a winner. It would make a Russian car look good. OK, maybe that's too far. Looks great from every angle.
  19. Necklace and beading section at Hobby Lobby. I just picked up the entire range. I have 1/24-1/16 covered for sure.
  20. Always liked this car. Lookin good Joe. Watching.
  21. I used an airbrush on the skin tones. White acrylic primer (Vallejo) tinted with a bit of the skin tone. Then 2 layers of the skin tones for a smooth finish. The rest is hand painted. Oh, the board blue was out of a rattle can.
  22. Feel free to post your pics here if you like. I like that one and was planning on doing it after the tandem surfers. I always enjoy others peoples work.
  23. I will echo others here when I say interesting color choices. It has a military gone citizen kinda vibe. I always dig that.
  24. I got the set as a gift recently and decided it was time to get built. The molds for these are in amazing shape. For parts marked Hawk 1964 it is incredible. Almost no flash to speak of, and all parts seem to line up effortlessly. I took a page out of Harry's book when it comes to joining parts. I use the cement as the filler so as little filler as possible is used. It works a charm and it is the only way to join pieces. And these kits are loaded with that. Almost exclusively acrylics used here, a few touch ups and it's on to the next one. The Tandem Surfers is up next.
  25. Thanks for the kind words guys. The trick to that wooden bed decal is simple. I used Liquitex Matt Varnish over it. I simply brushed it on. It levels and lays down so nice it makes you look like a better painter than you are.
