  1. You're 100% correct. Although the flip side to that would be "ignorance is bliss", but not totally sure I'd buy into that cliché.
  2. True, but then you can't see what they're saying behind your back....
  3. What are the chances of these kits being reissued? We're the molds used for anything else or changed over the years? I'd love to see these reissued so I don't have to spend a small fortune to get one.
  4. Testors flat white being an enamel paint won't work on vinyl tires which might explain the poor coverage.
  5. If I were going to build one of these, I'd personally go with the gw trucks hood, as the aitm and plaskit hoods aren't as accurate. It also has the suspension parts to "modernize" the front end. Just my 2 cents
  6. A while ago I made a fuel transfer tank and pump for a pickup model and bought a cheap die cast of 2 gas pumps. You could try doing the same and possibly casting them. I forget the brand but they were really cheap and the handles were only held On with a rubber tube. Hope this helps some. Chris
  7. He answered it I'm the post after the first one you sent.
  8. I found these in 1/50 scale. They're listed as 100 ton shackles. They don't list actual dimensions, and they are pricey. http://www.evot-usa.com/mobile/product.aspx?ProductCode=yc632&404;http://www.evot-usa.com:80/YCC-Shackle-Set-100-Ton-10-Pieces-1-50-Scale-p/yc632.htm=
  9. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Chris
  10. So, life is moving on at a feverish pace. My wife and I just had an offer accepted on our first house! Perfect timing considering that we're expecting our first baby June 27th. I'm looking forward to having my own work space. Right now we're living in my inlaws' basement and while I can work on models here, I'm not supposed to paint anything. Even with my paint booth venting outside. The only downside to all this is that I won't be building anything for a little while between getting the house ready, moving, and the baby coming. I will say with certainty that I will continue to check in here and try to get back to actually building something as soon as I can. Chris
  11. Yeah, I am pretty sure the e7 and e9 etc. Were gray, don't recall any modern green motors.
  12. I think both.
  13. We only got about 25 here by the coast. They haven't gotten around to plowing my street yet. Should be interesting to see how long it takes and what they have to use to plow it. The little pickups they usually use won't cut it this time.
  14. If it helps any I believe it's closer to a 320 than a 330. I have one I need to start on. My biggest hurdle is the decals. Hope this helps.
  15. Thanks for the further info on the excavator. I know what I'll be looking out for.
  16. Just curious as to where you actually picked up the cat excavator. I've seen a couple of them online but never in person. Any help would be appreciated.
  17. I missed that too, and am really confused why anyone would go through that hassle. People are strange....
  18. Living color- cult of personality
  19. Correct sir Here goes another "The first thing I remember knowing Was a lonesome whistle blowing And a young'un's dream of growing up to ride On a freight train leaving town Not knowing where I'm bound"
  20. Queen one vision
  21. Ok, I will give this a shot.... "Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel Is just a freight train coming your way"
  22. That is awesome to hear!
