  16. back in high school, my shop teacher was good buds with the guy in charge of disposal at chrysler. we had the dohc hemi on a engine stand. he had a copy of the artice from car craft attached to it. we got to take it apart and put it back together. he sold it to a guy who collected hemis for a large sum.

  18. i hit as many garage sales as i can. however, ive never had much luck finging anything. i used to get lucky at estate sales, but since ebay there are too many profssional sellers out looking. afew yrs ago i almost got into a fistfight over abunch of kits i found at an estate sell. a couple took the box right out of my hands. unfortunatley, the woman had about 80 pounds on me and her hubby was even bigger. i went to the guy having the sell, he told me that they could have anything they wanted as they were going to donate the stuff to charity. few days later it all showed up on ebay. they got all most 3 grand for all the stuff. i sent them an email asking if they gave it all away, but never got a reply.
  19. hi robert. i feel your pain, literally. dont know if youve seen a doctor about your hand pain, but a few years ago mine hurt so bad i could only build a few miniutes at a time. saw a doc, turns out it was carpal tunnel syndrome. had to have surgery on both hands, wound up losing my job from being off work,( which was the best thing that could have happened), but now im back to about 95% strength in both hands. its well worth checking out.
  20. i'll be there, hanging out uner the motor city resin casters sign, and so will kevin lutz from missing link resin ...altho he'll be hanging out under his sign. should be quite a show. the nnl i mean, not us hanging out under signs.....nobody really wants to see that.....
  21. check any place that sells pottery supplies(micheals/hobby lobby). they have chamois that are about 5 inches square. theyre a bunch cheaper than the automotive size.
  22. hi george. im sort of a contractor of smbc. i run motor city resin casters out of theyre building, and i do alot of theyre masters and a bit of theyre castings. its a great relationship, and its helped mcrc become a much better company. the drive in fits together very well. the building is all styrene and is made on a precision ingraving machine. all the acessories are done in resin. both smbc and mcrc have a ton of new projects in the works. stay tuned.
