  1. Looking for the bed for any issue of the 53-56 Ford pickup. Don't need the tailgate. Have stuff to trade. Later-
  2. Not yet but I have wanted to for a while and I keep getting closer to doing it. Got the 41 and I have a 48 body that someone poorly started sanding the detail off. I need to find a clean, fresh 48 body first. Later-
  3. Bit of a mock up on my latest project "Shades of the 90's". Later-
  4. I don't remember where they came from. I've had them kicking arouns for years. I would luke to find some more. I sanded the backs of them so that the spokes are open. Later-
  5. Thanks Sam! Yes, I'm hoping to find something like a thin (maybe 1/16 inch) lime green or light green stripe in my stash of decals. Later-
  6. Wow Steve! I haven't been around the site much lately so I missed this one. I just now sat down and read through all 5 pages! Now I'm run ing late to get my running done but had to say what an amazing tribute build to Roger. I really loved seeing Roger's builds and chatting with him. He was a superb builder and an even better ambassador for our hobby. Always willing to share his knowledge and skills. I moved to western Kentucky in Feb 2022 and wanted to meet up with him to visit. Unfortunately he passed before I could. And what a shock it was to hear he had passed. I was really enjoying his work he was doing on his GTO wagon when he passed. I'd love to get ahold of that to finish it but...oh well. I think he would have really enjoyed seeing your work on this tribute. I know I like how it is turning iut. Glad to see you made it a unibody and are using the Suoer Stallion engine. I'll be watching. Later-
  7. Thanks! I was just thinking this morning of calling it "Shades of the 90's". It reminds me of looking through the old Street Rodder magazines in the 90's. Here it is mocked up after I painted the upper body last night. Unfortunately it has a bit of trash in the paint on the roof. I'm afraid to mess with it because it will be a bear to blend in. Got to lower the height of the radiator a bit. It's making the hood sit too high. Now to find some light green pinstripe. Later-
  8. I bought this body years ago from Jimmy Flintstone's site. It is some sort of fictional sedan delivery. I am using the Revell Thom Taylor 34 as the parts kit. I lowered the suspension and it is completed. Paint is airbrushed green nail polish. The white is Rustoleum White primer with Pearl White nail polish airbrushed over it. Thinking I'll do a light green pinstripe between the two colors. I still need to scratchbuild some interior panels for the cargo area. Later-
  9. Thanks evwryone. Finally took some outdoor shots. Don't know if they are any better but.... Later-
  10. Thanks everybody. As soon as the liquid sunshine gets replaced with real sunshine I'll get some better pics. Later'
  11. Just finished this tonight. Got the primed body and chassis off of a guy on FB. Airbrushed it with some color shift nail polish. Added an engine and tires/wheels from the parts box. Decals are from the Revell 57 Ford wagon and the PE emblem was taken from a sheet for a PT Cruiser. Later-
  12. Still plugging along focusing mainly on the 41 Plymouth. Havent had much serious build time lately. Been working on the chassis and interior of the Plymouth. I have the ride height set. Those big wheels really make the body look short. Later-
  13. Thanks! Yeah, that's why I didn't get worried about it. I've already brushed on some primer and a couple of coats of paint. I'll give it a few days to harden and then I'll sand it down and see where I'm at. Later-
  14. Thank you! Later-
  15. Thanks Michelle! Later-
  16. This was built because of the engine. I inherited this engine as a started idea from my buddy when he passed. It was kicking around in a parts box for a couple of years before I finally settled on what to put it in. I added the pulleys, belt, exhaust, and wiring. I think this would be quite a hairy ride! Later-
  17. This was built for a 2 month long FB contest using the 64 Impala as a starting point. Figuring most would go with a lowrider or restomod I wanted to do something different. To me, the 64 Impala doesn't lend itself well to a variety of styles. So, what to do? I went with something I had never tried. I used some parts from the Pontiac Banshee and made engine thruster pods from two Apache helicopters as well as parts boxes full of dodads for the underside. I weathered it just a bit. I won 3rd place with this entry. Later-
  18. I've been on a kick lately to finish up some stalled projects before the end of the year. This is one I started several years back. Got very close to the finish line before stalling out. Only took one evening at the bench to get it completed. I was looking through the internet one day and came across a 1:1 that looked dang near spot on to what I was building. I still need to clean it up and get its "beauty shots" taken. Later-
  19. I finished this earlier this month. I started it back in 2017 from a Jairus Watson drawing. I made a few changes from the original drawing (no hood since the front of the engine sits too high) Glad to finally have it finished. Later-
  20. Been working on a few projects lately. A Flintstone 53 Ford Country Squire, a resin 41 Plymouth Sedan Delivery, and a pickup from several different kits. Just doing things on whichever I feel at the moment. I actually have some primer sprayed on the pickup. I taped off the 53 Ford yesterday to paint the woodgrain. Unfortunately, the tape pulled some of the body paint off. Oh well, easy enough fix. Later-
  21. Got back from visiting my parents for a week to find these waiting for me. The Mazda was just $14 delivered! Got to figure out what front clip might look good on that 49 Ford. Later-
  22. Getting some work done tonight on a project.I started about 3 1/2 years ago. Just a little mock up before getting it ready for paint. Later-
  23. Bought a storage unit of semi model kits recently and these were some of the odds and ends included. Also made a trade for several pieces of resin. That should be enough projects to keep me busy for now. Later-
  24. My thoughts exactly! Figured they may have represented an, unfamiliar to me, aftermrket set or some odd thing like that. I figured there are a lot of guys on here that are knowledgeable of the history of the old AMT kits that might be able to fill me in? Later-
  25. I pulled these valve covers off of an AMT screwbottom 63 Riviera engine. Who can tell me what these say, and why? Later-
