I think the old truck in the pics is a White judging from the shape of the rear window. The Diamond T, REO, and IH had more rectangular windows. http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/truc...38white_718.jpg The link below seems to have the door shape of your truck. http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/truc...6white_wa20.jpg White was the company that made the special LaBatt's Brewery trucks http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/truc...atts_white2.jpg

New Aussie member!
lordairgtar replied to Eeyore's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Welcome to our humble little forum. Good to have someone from Oz on here. Although I am a US native, I've always loved all things Aussie! (Not because of Mad Max, it goes beyond that) I think Australian Falcons, Holdens, and Chrysler Australia have great and interesting cars. I've even seen pics of our AMC AMXes (called Ramblers there) with the right hand drive. A few car shows here have had Australian cars in them. I've seen in person a Falcon from about 1973, A Chrysler Charger Six Pack (6 cylinder) and a 69 Monaro done up as a Pro Street car. Tasty indeed!!!! -
Very nice little cars from the day. I got my hands on a Peirce Arrow build-up and now I want to work it over and restore it.

That would be as perfect answer to the Chevy SSR

http://brewcitymuscle.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30112 I know this is way off topic but I need some help from you guys. A friend up here had their grandfather kidnapped in his camper rig, an Alegro based on a GM van. Has three jeep hubcaps and one chevy cap. Is pulling a trailer. Last seen in Chicago at a Walgreens where suspect tried to use victims credit card to buy $100 worth of cigs. Victim has early stages of Alzheimers. Suspect is masquerading as son. If you guys in Illinois would keep an eye out for this rig and report to Illinois State Police or whatever local jurisdiction it's in. Thanx. Refer to thread posted for updates if any. Prayers always welcome. Thanx.

Maybe from comment and complain, but certainly not to remove. That's censorship. This certainly isn't porn or illegal, it's just music. If we all tried to get things removed because we disagree with it, there would be nothing to read or talk about. On this forum, people even disagree with types of modeling and car genre. When does it stop? When the head mod finally tires of it and pulls the plug altogether? I don't think anyone wants that. Just don't read the things you have no interest in. -

That's what got me, good vocals in there. Most dark metal, thrash, or whatever this genre is called all sound alike with the growly voices. Yeah, I'm 54 years old and I still give the newer stuff a listen. -
How old are you??
lordairgtar replied to KT EASTMAN's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Another April 1st person. Me too! So I'm a year younger than you. -

I'm old, but that video was pretty good, musically. Never understood the look of the band. Scary! -
First experience? I remember Casanova's Gun Shop. Let me explain. In Milwaukee, Casanova's sold guns, camp equipment, boats, model railroad stuff and other hobby things. The store was a maze of hallways. You entered the gun shop and walked down the aisle, made a left turn through a small narrow door into the hobby area. This place was jam packed with trains, slot car stuff and kits of all types. I spent many a Saturday wandering the narrow aisles looking at Lionel trains and the really cool all brass locomotives in HO scale. The place was big with IMC kits and Johan. Renwal 66 Revival kits too. As time marched on, Casanova's got out of the hobby business in the middle seventies and as the neighborhood went to pot, the business abandoned the gun trade and just concentrated on boating and they moved out to Muskego where they still are in business as Casanova Marine. The old building is still in Milwaukee but is host to several small entrepreneur enterprises, the biggest, a Hmong vegetable market. How times have changed.

Your favourite Box art
lordairgtar replied to HotRodaSaurus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I liked the illustrations on the Renwal 66 Revival kits. Also the first issue of Tognotti's T and Wilhelm's Wonder double kit, and the Gold Cup Johan classics kits. That painting of the maroon Mercedes Benz in the German countryside was inspiring. -

Preffered Parking
lordairgtar replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I guess I can park there then. My car is quite fuel efficient. Over 30 mpg. I've had cars that were very efficient in burning gas up quickly. Harry, those drive thru bans must have been the ones they were talking about in the Democratic Peoples Republic Of Madison. Some politician bandied that one about but nothings going to come of it. -
ah yes, the Jag hearse from Harold And Maude.
-
You can't make good looking hearses with modern cars, I'm sorry.

Don't know if anyone is interested.

What? No Wisconsin graphic? -
Obviously not on my end. Even the spam filter got shut off and you still don't come up. I have photobucket so I know that ain't it and I see everyone elses. Do you have a right wing filter that prevents me from seeing it? If you coukld figure out some way to disguise or eliminate your pic labels, email me the pics.

Muffler Bearing?
lordairgtar replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I had a small gas station in San Luis Obispo and the local kids would hang out and beg for free soda. We would send them down to the parts store to run errands getting parts for us. Newbs would be sent down to the parts store to bring back headlight polish (Yeah, I know there is such a thing for the faded Lexan lenses, but this was in the glass sealed beam days). At the current job when a newb cuts a wire too short, we send them to the tool crib looking for wire stretchers. -
I can't call 'em if'n I can't see 'em!! FIX IT!!!!

Right Andy, I am just befuddled by the car posted because of the side view pic. I wish I had a front view. You are correct in the cars you named but also Matford (another Ford), SIMCA, The earlier ones I named and many more. But I'm going to take another stab at it......Hotchkiss!
