  1. Look at this site for the Hurst version. http://hurstjeepster.com/
  2. Although a nice kit, the engine is wrong. It is a hold over from the Kaiser Jeep and is a Buick V6. Kaiser called it a Dauntless V6. The AMC version with the Ford style front grille, used their 258 I6 and the 304 V8. Some V6 Commandos may have been made by AMC but I am not sure. The earlier style front end Kaiser version also had a Hurst version which was carried over to AMC. It was white and had a Rebel Machine style scoop on its hood.
  3. This is a great post. I like to see this kind of description even though Ferrari cars are not my favorite...uh...OK...I like the older ones; there! I said it. I think this car looks like a Vette, too.
  4. Really great review. Looks like I'll have to pull that one out of the closet and check it out. Mine's the first issue, so maybe the plastic won't be as soft as yours. Thanks for the heads up on the emblem fit and other issues.
  5. Finally, a Monster Truck without the cartoon front end I so much hate. I like my trucks to look like trucks, not lizards or skulls or whatever. But then again, I ain't 5.
  6. Looking forward to seeing you there. I'll be behind the table counting votes.
  7. Ie lyk to spelz gud. Make ezyer to reed letter. I jus wisch theez ireetating red lyns wood go away. I now go pound rox!
  8. I gotta go with the Volvo P1800, especially the ES wagon.
  9. It's now called Super Clean because Castrol sold the cleaner formula to another company which is called Super Clean Brands. Best places to find it is at hardware and auto parts stores.
  10. No kit that I know of. Maybe a resin is out there?
  11. I truly liked this little post. The other site I'm on would ban it. Happy Easter to you guys too. I know, I'm late.
  12. If you want to know of a somewhat different build, get yourself one of the many Russian GAZ AAA military trucks. They are Ford clones made in the Soviet Union. Could be a good basis for a box van. One trouble is that the trucks are 1/35th scale. Atleast the look is there and you can upscale a Model A truck with the standard kits out there.
  13. I know model kits cost abit more in Canada, but that guy is taking advantage of the hobbyists. I'd shop online from now on.
  14. Our model club has just put up a site. I cordially invite you all to visit. http://amgwi.proboards55.com
  15. I'm just amazed you have those cars. Been looking but they get a little too dear price wise.
  16. that's the trouble with the cheap brushes. The problem might be a piece of metal in there from the manufacturing process. Eyeball every part under a magnifying glass to see if you see some foreign object.
  17. Oh my, I kinda like the Salvador Dali look to it. Takes me bake to the seventies.
  18. AAAWWWWW , what cute puppy dogs. I had one like Jake when I was a kid. The tears are welling up now. Love the Falcon.
  19. Eidai kits are crude, and have no relationship to the MPC or Revell or even some of the other Japanese made ones. I have a couple of Eidai kits just for collecting.
  20. Thanks a lot , dude. I just spent an hour going through al those pics.
  21. Yeah, Wisconsin and its corrupt governor wants the sales tax on any thing bought out of state, whether you drove across state line to buy something or you got it on the internet. I just say....Mwahahahahaha! Wisconsin also has a minimum mark up law as well, which means that you can go down to Illinois and get it cheaper. They also are trying to increase our fees for everything to do with cars, license plates, registration. Property taxes are nutz as well.
  22. Gee, Ken. Soviet cameras. I had an East German Praktica (I think that's what it was called) Took decent photos when it wanted to.
