  1. I think acetate can be found anywhere in the world, just surf the net a bit. You can also find how-tos on vac-u-forming and how to make a vacuformer. Then all you need to worry about is making the wooden buck for the clear plastic (acetate or lexan) to form around.
  2. Really awesome , Bob. Like the Beer wagon you did. I would have never thought of using a Cosworth.
  3. I'm curious as to what you have in regards to that Buick. Is it a diecast or a kit and what scale is it? I don't recall any 1/25th or 1/24th scale 55 Buicks. Those nailheads all had that same look with the heads and valve covers. the valve covers sat level horizontally, instead of the normally angled set up.
  4. We have all that in Wisconsin. It's just covered with white stuff half the year.
  5. I seem to remember some 1/32nd scale kits with chrome parts, can't remember who it was but they were vintage cars like these.
  6. This is one of my favorite show cars from GM. It was even in an Elvis Movie. "It Happened At The Fair"
  7. We got your "point"
  8. Oh , thats the well known Mexican builder Chup E. Kabra
  9. Good job Chris! Kudos!
  10. I used to be an actor in a haunted house and the little gang-bangers were always the first to want to get the H*** out. They just wet themselves.
  11. Those switches are cheap and easy to come by. Is it a Broan? Wiring will be like your house, not like your car. Try this link. http://www.gamerabaenre.com/spraybooth.htm
  12. The site says I am not registered and when I try to register, it says my username and pass are already entered. ???????????
  13. http://www.thedpmcc.com/instructionsintro.html model instructions Try this linky. It will help you with the 65 Fairlane anyways.
  14. I really think that Malibu actually looks good (and I ain't 80). The challenge will actually work towards Chevrolets benefit if people will go to the showrooms. The bowtie has a winner here in this sedan. As far as the eighty year old commen t goes, what is a good thing is when the car appeals to a whole range of age and socio-economic demographics like the Camry does now. I do see an awful lot of Malibus around here. Toyota stuck their own badge on a Cavalier and sold it as a Toyota in the JDM.
  15. I've always tried to emulate Roy in my work. Good quality and being a grouch.
  16. Kool, Comrade Ken I had an East German camera (Practica) that worked about as well as a Trabant.
  17. I don't even know HOW to put an avatar on the site. Everytime I try, nothing happens. Same with emodelcars, won't work for me.
  18. Dave, you can also try contacting Holz Chevrolet in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. They sell promos and have a huge car show on the 4th of July where they sell older promos for cheap money. You should bring your Vette up for the day. Hales Corners is a suburb of Milwaukee.
  19. I had collected Collectible Automobile, Hemming's Classic car, Sports and Exotics and Muscle Machine lines of magazine but I sent them to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as my model mag collection. I collect Soviet items and have pins with Lenin, a 50 Ruble note, a pin for a soccer team in Moscow. A book on Soviet grade and highschools. Small pen knives with adverts on them.
  20. Sweet 15? I think most people here know them as Quinceineras, that is if one is familiar with latino culture. It's sort of a coming out party for young ladies. Don't know about the camera, though.
  21. Nice pics, but why so many of that 32 Bantam in the first post?
  22. His style ought to be right at home on a NASCAR board. I miss him, too.
  23. As a customer of two large independent LHSs, I sure hope that this does not bite them. I prefer buying something I can touch rather than online, and with shipping and handling costs involved, I think the well stocked LHS is still supreme. I have bought from HobbyLink Japan just to get something not available to me locally. (260Z 2+2)
