  1. We're not looking for Oscar type performances here, just escapism.
  2. Man, your little sis doesn't look like she wants to be there. I think we found the basis for the Urkel character on TV.
  3. Porsche tractor...yes, Porsche made tractors. The University of Nebraska evaluated tractors and got their hands on one years back
  4. That would have been Premier. I saw one at a swap meet last weekend. Utter crapola!
  5. Very cheesy music, but it's cool.
  6. Eeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
  7. That's the Kargoyle. A guy on the Johan site is making a model of one. 66 Caddy hearse, chopped top, blown engine, custom paint.
  8. Definitely a Bricklin, but some early ones even had AMC engines.
  9. OK, I was getting all excited about continuing a project long dormant on my table and then I see this. I am now depressed! Just kidding, simply amazing what you did there. The GF just went "oh wow" when she saw the video. Me too.
  10. http://www.sciplus.com/ Here is a place that is local to me but they sell online too. All kinds of things, gizmos, widgets to detail models or even teach science for you home school afficianados.
  11. I really don't know what a Russian kit maker (ICM) has to do with anything here.
  12. I emailed the AutoWorld people about this very idea and got an email back saying they would consider it. My exact request was to redo chassis plates to reflect a more accurate rendition of one without molded on exhausts, suspensions, etcetera. A kind of modular chassis that would say fit a GTO as well as a Chevelle, Olds, Buick, and a series for a lot of the Ford Mustang and Falcon based platforms. This would work for various Mopars as well.
  13. John, I wish to thank you for taking charge of these tools. Is the new facility still in China? I would sure like to see the production done in the States (like Lindberg), but I do also understand the cost aspect of it, so even if still overseas, I wish the best of luck to you and I will be looking forward to seeing the kits on my LHS shelves.
  14. I noticed the hobby shops in our area listed. Some sell model cars as well.
  15. Here's to you, Bob! I enjoy all your posts, especially the stories of your days in the industry. DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, WE LIFT UP OUR BROTHER AND FRIEND TO YOU, LORD. WE ASK THAT YOU GUIDE THE HANDS OF HIS LEARNED SURGEONS AS THEY DO THEIR WORK. WE ASK THAT YOU GIVE HIM STRENGTH AND COMFORT DURING THIS ORDEAL AND THAT YOU ALSO GIVE COMFORT TO HIS FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FELLOW MODELLERS. WE ASK THIS IN JESUS' NAME...AMEN.
  16. Don't think a plastic kit was ever made, but maybe a resin caster did one.
  17. Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya.....
  18. 1958 Edsel Part Interchange List All Models - The E-400 used the same major components as the 1958 Ford, including water and fuel pumps, heads and exhaust manifolds. The E-475 is similar to the 1958-1961 Lincoln and Mercury 430 cid V8. All parts will fit, except the pistons, which are 0.100 inches larger in the 430. The Mercury 383 engine is also a similar match, except for the carburetor, crankshaft and pistons. The 383 carburetor will fit the E-475, but expect a 5-15% drop in horsepower. Transmissions for the E-475 are compatable with the 1958 Lincoln. Pumps and tail housing controls are a match on the 1958 Mercury single-drive range, but the transmission case is not because of Mercury's push-button shifting control. Citation/Corsair - Windshield, doors and side glass can be found on the 1957 and 1958 Mercury of the same body type. (Rear glass is unique to Edsel.) Wheel rims are identical to 1957 to 1960 Mercury. 410 Engine exhaust manifold to muffler inlet gasket is identical to the current Nissan gasket number 20692-1E810. Pacer/Ranger - Doors and all glass can be found on the 1957 and 1958 Ford Fairlane and Fairlane 500 models of the same body type. Wheel rims are identical to 1957 to 1960 Mercury. Bermuda/Villager/Roundup - Sheetmetal from the firewall back is the same as the 1957 Ford wagons. Doors and all glass is the same as the 1958 Ford wagons. The front doors can also be found on the 1957 and 1958 Ford Custom and Custom 300 sedans. Wheel rims are identical to 1957 and 1958 Ford.
  19. I liked the show. Too many of us are over analyzing the show. Accept it for what it is...pure fantasy and action.
  20. I'm having trouble with it again. It never accepts my pass or username. I just gave up. Sure would like to put some kits up for sale there.
  21. Thanks for taking the time to sign up. We're glad to have you here. Comment away.
  22. When I met my lady, and things got serious, I told her about what I do for a hobby and that I have done it for a long time. I figured better to be up front instead of being sneaky. I said I won't be giving up what I enjoy and I won't deny her the things she enjoys. We've been together for over eight years and she supports me in the hobby. She will go to the model swap meets and the model club meetings and the car shows as well. She even will spot kits at rummage sales and swaps and buy them for me. How cool is that? My advice for finding the perfect woman is not just someone you can be in love with, but someone who you can LIKE as well. That goes a long way to creating the perfect relationship. I have seen a lot of people who are "in love" but can't get along very well.
  23. The Pyro Triumph GT6 2+2 is actually a nice model. I would vote for the former Hubley Rolls Royce now done by Mini-Craft. Those molds don't even line up.
  24. Let's do the Time warp again...It's just a jump to the left...
