  1. Wow, my old builds no longer exist. It's great you have that. Yes, I would just leave it be, but repair the wheels and clean it a little.
  2. Nice looking model there, evilone! I love the trailer and nitrous bottles in the bed.
  3. I am so buying this one. I need to make some Novas! Looking to do an Apollo. I saw one with a 350 Buick engine in it, so cool.
  4. Need to find me one of those JoHan Cudas!!
  5. Nice work you have there. From the cold great white north to Asia! What country are you going to? hope to see more of your work.
  6. Great engine, I can see lots of possibilities for that one. Are you related to Dennis Kitchen, an underground cartoonist from the sixties and seventies?
  7. Who produced that kit?
  8. Both you guys did an awesome job, and I ain't afraid of no triple 6. Just a number. I knew people who would return a plate to the DMV because it would have that number on it.
  9. Sorry to hear that. I wouldn't have put up with that charity scam. I 'da kicked him in the you know whats! But sometimes it's better to let stuff like that go. If there were a bunch of people there, I would have made a huge scene (done that)
  10. I've not sold kits at a rummage or garage sale, but I've thought of it. I buy kits at sales when they turn up (rare) and I get them fairly cheap, about $3 per kit or less.
  11. Those Hawaiians are a laid back bunch. This might be fast for them.
  12. I saw Gary today, he's looking good. Just a bit greyer
  13. I'm going to the Milwaukee NNL today. West Coast is to far.
  14. OK, Maybe Dr. Hawkings was not my most brilliant comparison (and yes, he is still alive, my bad). All through history and in different cultures, the poor have always had more children as they felt that children were their legacy, so to speak. Are IQs really going down, or is it just our schools don't do the job? If IQs were indeed dropping, then please explain people that still have high IQs? Where did Korn get their data? Did they research this themselves? There is so much stuff available to read on line and elsewhere that is specious at best. Who is to know what was spun and what is true? The rest of the world has hated the US long before Bush came into office and he is not the reason gas prices are so high. That is strictly supply and demand, futures speculation, environmental issues like break downs and weather, and just plain greed. What makes you believe that we are entitled to cheap gasoline when the rest of the world pays much more than us. That's pretty arrogant. If any political entity has any control over gas prices, it would be the House and Senate, the actual policy makers, not the president. I have known many people who have immense talent or intelligence but you just cringe at hearing them speak for one reason or another. I had teachers like that. Yes, I cringe too when I hear Bush speak. I know engineers from the various companies we deal with who can devise a machine or tool, but couldn't speak to sell the idea.
  15. Interesting, but scientifically, the opinion expressed in the song/video is wrong. Since evolution exists, de-evolution does not. According to science, species evolve to improve or adapt to their habitat. Thus, a species can not go backwards. BTW, a person who does not have the glib speaking ability of say, a Bill Clinton or a Ronald Reagan, is not necessarily a dullard. Dr. Hawkings could not speak at all without the aid of technology, but he was arguably the most intelligent person on the planet.
  16. Last night, this forum was downright speedy again. Today? Not so much. It's taking a long time to use.
  17. Will I be able to stick refrigerator magnets to you?
  18. As a member of a club that puts on an NNL event, I have to say that the voting for your favorite theme model or whatever other classes they have really doesn't wander to far from what an NNL is. It's still not judged and it is still low-keyed and a fun thing to do. It really isn't a contest. I enjoy them and all the people that come. I get to meet interesting "nameless luminaries" from all over the region and some outside the region. I feel it's just like the real car shows I attend that have participant voting. Those cars are not really judged to a set criteria, but are selected by individual people who happened to be impressed with one particular car. Of course, there are cruise nights were you just hang out with no voting or judging, but there is always the one car that has the crowd of people around it. Getting the chance to talk with builders and see their work up close is the main point of the NNLs and the voting is just a perk. I rarely have a car on display because I build so infrequently that everyone has seen my cars at one time or another, so I'm in it for the camaraderie. but next year.....
  19. Interesting subject. Why Jada? I would think the others were a bit better in execution. In fact, I didn't know Jada made a Mach 5.
  20. I'm really digging the blue paint, I had a 64 Lesabre in that color.
  21. Where can we get one of those gems?
  22. Very nice! I love the cab over truck.
  23. Nice work so far. It's really something when you can make a model of an actual car. Nice mods. Ever think of taking a Buick kit and modding it to look like your Chrysler 5th ?
