Tks guys, I'll try & answer the questions.
Erik, no not a high tech kit & I was too chicken to try & open it up for engine detail;
Mike, it was beautiful to build, went together easily (and I'm not a white metal fan, which is what the chassis & suspension is);
Len, stripes (and circles) are sprayed white, not decals; and last but not least
Andrew, vinyl parts were good, easy to fit & look good.
The stock decals are not very good & need to be replaced. Buy both VRM Daytona coupe sets, they are fantastic.
Hardest part of the build was the wind deflectors beside the windcreen, they were buggers to get right.
By the way Andrew, I have built Jim Hall's Grand Sport using HRM detail parts, modified the body and pan-caked the bonnet hump to more acurately reflect the 67 car. It's not perfect but it's a good representation of it. Also used VRM decals (I sound like an advert for them!!!). Might post it next week, trying to limit it to 1 post a week
