  1. Whoops, sorry folks, looks like I was incorrect stating Cosworth's involvement. Apologies. Dave B
  2. Hi Pat, looking good but I think you'll find it was a specially built Cosworth V6 quad cam. Dave B
  3. Getting there, just some fine tuning to do to the headers and a coat of paint . Dave B
  4. Hand carving Gary, a skill I could never master!! SS and Scarab look great, as I am sure your Corvette will when finished. Dave B
  5. Apart from the front suspension this is the part I was most concerned about making, the headers. They're making good progress as you can see. Dave B
  6. Since it's taken me 40+ years Mark you'd better start now!!!! Dave B
  7. Not sure if anyone's interested but I found my original chassis drawings in my Cheetah folder. I drew it to scale, 1/24, and laid the framework on it for the build. Dave B
  8. That's a nice build but why can't I see a driver's seat? Dave B
  9. Obviously had a senior moment many years ago when I was young, I've just removed the alternator seen in the previous pics. Dave B
  10. Right, I installed the steering column and rack then realised I had the radiator surround incorrect. Luckily I managed to remove it and leave the steering intact. Replaced the surround and added the additional engine bay shielding. Now to finish the engine bay and interior then concentrate on the headers. Leaving those until towards the end of the build. Pretty happy with how it's looking at the moment. Dave B
  11. Be fun watching this one Helmut, I'm glad there are other builders out there with kits started at least 30 years ago!! Dave B
  12. Nice build Doug, Kermit never looked so good. Dave B
  13. Ok, I've been building this for the last 40 years and it's time to do some more work on it while I still can!!! An old mate of mine, now deceased, gave me two Cox Cheetah bodies. One had the roof broken off so I built that first as the Crosal roadster but kerbside. I then started this as a full detail version and have been on and off it for the past 40 years. All the frame is scratch built, a Corvette provided the rear suspension and the front is scratch built but not finished as I have yet to fit a rack and steering column. The engine is from the donor Corvette. Time to start again, wish me luck. Dave B
  14. Great looking build and techniques here Jason, tks for posting. Dave B
  15. Tks for the kind comments. Picked up the small Agip logo's Phil printed for me so it's finally finished. Dave B
  16. Back onto the Zagato, I am not happy with the profile of the door windows but there's nothing I can do about it. Being thin resin and not very pliable I'd be asking for trouble. Shouldn't take long to build but we'll see. Have downloaded a Chaparral 2E file so I may ask Phil to print that for me and work on both at the same time. Dave B
  17. Tks Rich, wheels and tyres make all the difference. If I hadn't had a them I wouldn't have restored it. Dave B
  18. Tks, yes 1/16 Otaki I originally built probably 45 years ago. Dave B
  19. Looks good Helmut, hope you have a Hasegawa Muira so you can buy one and fit it!! Don't forget to post your build in WIP. Dave B
  20. Great looking race car and a very nice build Thomas. Dave B
  21. Finally finished restoring the Stradale', been fun but I'm glad it's finished. Tks for looking. Dave B
  22. Almost finished. The fit isn't perfect but I have to remember it's a very old kit and a restoration to boot. I'm pretty happy with it, little more work and a few decals and it's onto the DB4 Zagato although I do have a 1/16th GT40 in dire need of restoring. Dave B
  23. Looks good Pat, this a really nice kit. Dave B
  24. This is a great kit Pat and yours is looking good. Dave B
