  1. Looks great Helmut, they are one of the prettiest sports racers of the period and yours has done it justice. Love it. Dave B
  2. Looking good Helmut, you must be pleased, it's come a long way from when you posted the old green version on my P68 build!!!! Dave B
  3. Another great build Matt, this one using the old, but great, Merit kit a basis. The wire wheels, and your modifications, make an enormous improvement. Dave B
  4. Sorry, I missed the finished post, been away, that looks great Rich. All that time was worth it!! Dave B
  5. Great builds Gary, I'm a sook, I've never attempted to carve a model from wood, they're exceptional! Dave B
  6. Looking really good Bruce, had one way back when they were first released. Dave B
  7. That's fantastic Matt, tks for posting the set!! Dave B
  8. That pinstripe worked really well Helmut, congratulations. Dave B
  9. Shawn, since you are printing your own panels are you going to include the pie cut nose? Dave B
  10. Ah, Abarth, what a magician!! Looks good Pat, tks for sharing. Dave B
  11. Rich, are you sure you're not pulling our legs and this is actually 1:2 scale!! Dave B
  12. That looks good Eran, it's always nice to get a printed model looking good. Dave B
  13. Yet again another great looking build Matt. I hope you do a Roy Cross tribute post when you finish the W196 showing them all together. Dave B
  14. I had basically finished the interior based on a standard Stradale but since I intend to base the build on the mythical blue Stradale it's incorrect. As Phil's printer broke down and I didn't get my wheels or glass moulds I'm going to cut up the interior so it at least reflects the Stradale I'm building. Dave B
  15. Great build Matt and I love you answer to the carburetion and mesh. Also your epoxy in the goggles is an OLD trick, doing that to slot car drivers back in the 60's. Dave B
  16. Ok, have shot some white and it doesn't look too bad so after a fine sand it will be blue, tks Helmut. Hope to get the wheels and glass moulds tonight so I'll be able to progress further very soon, I hope. The interior won't be exact but it will have to do. The blue Stradale was a special order and included seats from a helicopter!! When sold it was painted red by its new Japanese owner and subsequently disappeared. Thankfully it's now blue again. Dave B
  17. PS, I to love the background setting. Dave B
  18. That looks great Pierre and a very quick build for you!!! Dave B
  19. I won't go easy on you John, that is a great build of something quite unusual. Tks for posting the completed build. Dave B
  20. Great looking Alfa Anders, one of my favorites. Dave B
  21. Looking good Matt, and you use my all time favourite putty, Milliput. Dave B
  22. You're going great Rich, it's a shame that a lot of your hard work and excellent detailing gets hidden. You've just got to display it with all the panels and wheels off!!! Dave B
  23. Hi Pierre, when Phil was using filament I'd coat the model in auto stop putty but now he's printing in resin for me I just use auto acrylic undercoat and sand, plenty of times!! The shame is in around 6 months the layers will just become visible. Dave B
  24. First things first I'm once again thanking my old mate Phil for resin printing my file for me and providing the decals. This is my take on C100 chassis #4 that entered the 1982 Le Mans as entry #6. It qualified well, 6th, but was a dnf, being let down by electrics. Along with the Ford F3L this may have been another lost opportunity for Ford to do well on the international scene. I've raided the parts box for various bits and pieces, intake trumpets, photo etched seat belt, windscreen wiper, etc. I've also used styrene tube and sheet. The model is finished in acrylic white, clear coated and polished. Now to continue on the Alfa 33 Stradale!! Tks for looking. Dave B
