    Looks awesome !! I built the MFH one and it took me almost 5 years on and off. I'd get mad and put it up and start it again in a few months !! I also have the Renaissance one but haven't decided to jump back in that pool again !!

    OK, the next model show for me probably will be the ACME Southern Nats in Atlanta. Best show in southeast period. I go every year and am a extended member of the club you could say. My best friends are all down there !! lol... I will be attending 1:1 shows all summer, and actually starting this coming sat. at the Coker Cruise in at Coker and Honest Charlies headquarters in Chatt. I will have pics from there on my Fotki next week. I'll post a link on here then. What area in Tn. you live ? I am In Dayton, ( monkeetown ) as we're known, just north of Chatt.

    Yeah we shoulda met up.My son was at work that day so I just bought the body for him. I didn't enter anything that day for a change, just went to shop and hang out. I went the following week to Birmingham and entered several kits but didn't win anything there. It's ok though, I had a good time just hanging out with friends, and making new friends. And made some cool purchases too !! Are you on facebook ? The link at the bottom of my post to my Fotki site has lots of pics from both shows. Maybe caught some of yours ??

    Yes the amt kit. I had one at home but had to order another one for the one for my son. That's one I don't have in yet. Also the tractor for the transporter is a Ford C900. I got that kit from my friend, that also gave me the unpainted ford truck. I'm getting another transporter from him for my son also.

    Well guess i've been away from here too long, I couldn't figure out how to put my text in the above post. Anyway, these are pics of my haul from the Cookville Tn. show, and the following week at the Birmingham Ala. show. Got some great deals and made lots of new friends. The 2 Ford trucks are rebuilders for me. My very first model ever was one of these trucks, which I still have the body of that one, I wanted to keep it as is, and rebuild one of these. I've priced these things for a very long time and they have just been out of reach for me. It was my lucky day as I snagged the green one for $5.00 !! Yes, only five !!! And the other one was given to me by a friend !! Karma smiled on me that day !!! :rolleyes:

    There are also 2 different clubs in Chatt. Ours is the CARS club that meet at a Hobby Lobby and also an IPMS club that meets at a HobbyTown. Our CARS group have a f/b page. There is a great HobbyTown in Murfreesboro too.

    I'll use the airbrush if the paint i'm wanting to use is only available in bottles. But like others, I like the ease of the cans vs the setting up the a/b and mixing, and cleanup.

    Finally got me a Revell U.S. box of the Ferrari 599 GTO, some more Tamiya liquid cement, and a Ferrari F12 Hot Wheels !!!

    When he's around 14 or 15 and knows everything, that picture will mean a lot more !!!! I speak from experience !!!

    I bought several of these to build a ALMS car and was disappointed when I opened it to discover that it was just a Challenge kit with these decals basically. I already had some Challenge kits anyway !! I probably won't use the decals on this, unless I wanna torture myself !!!

    My family used to do me the same way, not knowing what to get me. The solution has been gift cards and certificates !! For hobby stores and for restaurants !! Can't go wrong there. I can use them for any models or supplies that make me tingle, and then go fill up my belly !! Makes me a happy camper everytime !!

    I loved Alf too !! I also still have the Alf doll, and have all the seasons on DVD !! It was just good ole silly entertainment !!

    LOL... I just traded the street version even for one of these with one of my fellow club members last weekend myself !! Then another friend bought that one from him !! Those things get around !!! Now I have both the BRE kits !! :rolleyes:

    I feel your pain Mike. It has always been my go to primer but everyone quit carrying it around here. But I recently discovered that all Carquest auto parts stores carry it !! I found one within 30 miles of me and called and they had it. I've made several trips there and loaded up on it and they restock it !! Don't know if you have any of those around you but check around and see. I've also found it online before to order, but minumum orders and shipping charges stopped me in my tracks for that. Good luck.

    His was the red Rissi Ferrari GT2 car that was on a turntable at the end of the closed wheel comp. table. And all those in the background are his and mine !!
