  1. Sorry its been so long! I guess hobby time goes away with a new baby!! The 9900i is ready! The conversion includes: Cab Hood Grill Bumper Air Cleaner Mounts Air Cleaners Visor Windshield Dash Dog House Door Panels Under Cab Fillers Mirrors The best donor for this conversion is the Transtar 4300, as you need some of the interior parts to complete the cab. PM me for more details.

  3. Converting a 7.3L gas block to diesel??? I'm assuming you mean the Ford 460? Just as an FYI..... The 6.9/7.3/Powerstroke/T444E engines were based on the IH gas MV 404/446 v8 engines. They are nowhere even close to the Ford block you have started with. The only thing with using the Ford block, is that it would be a drop in replacement for the kit engine. The block is actually closer to the engine found in the Louisville truck kits. It would need some drastic modifications, but it would be easier than the 460..... I started mine by measuring a bare block and heads, and started from scratch.....We always seem to have at least 1 lying around in the shop.
  4. Amazing work Charlie! The Ward has been reunited with the Squad at the LA County fire museum
  5. Finally finished this cab over the weekend. It is available now. PM me for details.
  6. Bingo! Thats it! Thanks!
  7. Ok, somewhere out there was a site that sold car and truck parts. Most of them appeared to be used, or out of parts kits. He didn't have anything aftermarket, just original kit parts. I think he was out of the mid-West. Any ideas?
  8. The 700 has a head start. I have a cab....and there is no hood!
  9. You and Chuck..... I'm thinking that once the 9900, and the Prostar vacate my bench, the Travelall may take up residence. Or the Loadstar, or Cargostar, or an American LaFrance 700, or........
  10. Well, its been a bit since an update so here it is.... I shot some black on the hood, and silver on the grill to give them a different finish than primer for a final look over. Don't worry about the white on the hood. Its just plastic dust from another project. And here is one of the other projects. A daycab conversion for the Moebius Prostar. The day cab will be offered as just the cab, or with a pair of quarter fenders and fuel tank steps as most of the day cabs do not have the aero side skirts. Another project that has appeared is: A heavy set forward axle IH S-Series. This will come with the cab and interior also.
  11. I have some of the drives in hard off white resin.
  12. Looks good so far! Here is my resin century conversion cab to fit the AMT kits.
  13. Honestly, I haven't had a chance to get them on the site..... If you see something you want, just drop me a pm and I can fill you in on the details.
  14. Yup, I have a Travelall in the works...its in a thread on here somewhere....... For those don't have Facebook, here are the pics that are on Facebook
  15. Finally happy with the shape and contours of the hood. Been working on the fit of the grill and refining the details.
  16. The Scale Firehouse is back up as of this afternoon. That Squad body looks like the old 10-8 Hobbies box, which I have the original mold for. I based all of my measurements off of a Code 3 Squad, (using a micrometer!), and scaling of photos found of the net.
  17. I'm working on a Loadstar conversion in 1/25th.
  18. Thats an IC bus. Built by International from the ground up to compete wit Thomas bodied busses.
  19. Yup, the 4300 is the easiest. You need some if the interior parts anyways, so it would just need an engine swap.
  20. I haven't had a chance to get the 9400I on the site..... drop me a pm and I can fill you in on the details.
  21. The Fleetstar cab was originally mastered by Jim Etter. It is now produced by AITM. I don't believe it comes with a windshield.
  22. Since they are basicaly Internationals with different hoods, you could start with my 9400I conversion, and build your own hood.......
