Looks really good. That interior looks warm and fuzzy comfortable. This could be the first black Edsel I've seen . nice!

or ... I did this making the rear window smaller for a '56. I just did it by eye from photos.

The newer Revell kit is far better (it has interior panels and details) and should be easy to find as it's only a few years old. It has a mufti-piece body but builds up easily with the seams at the 1:1 panel seams. Thee detail far out weighs the Hasegawa kit. The Hasegawa kit is older but still a good one. The problem as I see it is they are charging outrageous prices for what is an old, reissued kit and no longer worth the money. Here's a link to a build I'm still on of the Hasegawa 23 window.

This was a quick little job on a 1/64 Motormax Plymouth Reliant diecast. I'm still looking for a 1/24 version .. it's out there somewhere. The first image is what I started with .. the green one. I painted it and touche dit back up again along with the start of graffiti. This was my daughter's first car .. a gift from my aunt who also gave me MT first car! In the end the car was completely covered with graffiti written by all her friends .. inside AND out! I'm giving this to here along with a .003" pen so she can do the graffiti.

The new interior seats looked too plain without the circle pattern so I pulled out the circle template and scribed a couple. Going to have to figure how to sand the edges to make more gradual but it's better with the pattern.

use Micro Sol Setting Solution before placing decals. It helps adhesion of the decal and helps it to settle down over detail. If the decal needs more to settle over detail I use Mircoscale Micro Set. Washes will work on paint or chrome but the type of paint in the wash will determine how well. I usually use an acrylic flat black so I can go over it with a damp (water) Qtip to get anything on the high places off.

I love these kinds of builds ... something I find myself doing a lot ... redating a kit to fit a 1:1 I owned. This is looking good .. and a lot of work the average person wouldn't think of!

I use a Dremel Multi-Vice for a cheap and quick lathe when needed. It comes with an attachment I put on my old corded Demel. The vice slopes out of the mount and the Dremel slips in and can be turned to any position. This attachment is rarely shown or mentioned. The photo is mine with the Dremel mounted. I do need to come up with something to rest the cutting tool on and this thread has been very helpful
