  1. Vermont!
  2. from about a year ago ... same one I put in my post on previous page.
  3. Third "what do you drive" thread in about that many years! But I'll bite again and hopefully this will resurface when the 2013's come out and I upgrade. and here's one thread from Jan 1010
  4. Fantastic atmosphere in those shots, Matt!!
  5. for the kids to get educated. The Cars We Drove In the 50's and 60's
  6. Very nicely done K car. All that polishing WAS worth it!
  7. I love lacquers because of the quick, dustless drying time and the hardness of the paint. Also the almost limitless of available colors.
  8. That's a really thoughtful weathering job ... very much like it happens in 1:1. The dents are especially well done! I had a '53 the same color ... it was just slightly less weathered..
  9. I do use Dawn Power Dissolver to remove the undercoat but it still takes time .. matter of days sometimes.
  10. I've never seen that Matchbox kit. The interior "bulkhead" looks good. Is this getting an engine with hinged rear?
  11. I just posed for a new one ....
  12. Car Town is a simple free facebook game that some here might get a kick out of. It's supported by advertising but it's not right in your face. There are quite a few different cars and they can be modified extensively with a paint program. They are cartoony to suit the game but you will recognize them easily. There's no penalty for trying it but you do need a facebook account. this is the link to play.
  13. I love the idea! Maybe it deserves a Hemi or Nissan in it.
  14. Paint looks fantastic, Rodney
  15. Take a look at Ken B's scratch built Tatra for some ideas.
  16. Truck and saw is mean looking, Jerred .. looks like a do it yourself meat packing plant!
  17. Nice job .. Don's video looked successful! You also have a nice steady hand detail painting!
  18. A small up date with a finicky tape up .. had to snap photo quickly before intake pipe dropped out.. eheh so not great sharpness .. but will do for this. Hopefully I'll get my Plumbers Union card back .. though this isn't a very efficient intake it looks good in my mind!
  19. Very nice ... I like your choice of subjects.
  20. You ARE right .. not sure I got it across in my first reply but your comments were very much appreciated. I'm still fudging it.. as any POST APOCALYPSE would. The intake plumbing to the two turbos from the kit looks good and I'm rotating it with a slight extension to feed into the intake shroud I made. Your comments have improved everything! I'll post a pic once the modifications are done. Would anyone do this for real .. probably not, but who in their right mind would build any of these in 1:1?
  21. No matter WHAT you call it, build what's in your mind!
  22. This is an actual course at MSU!
  23. heheh .. I don't mind. Jason. I got Zombie fever and wanted to use that intake scoop from the kit and didn't think. Halfway through I came to my senses about what I was doing but it was too late! The engine has twin turbos so maybe I can rig some intake plumbing off the shroud. The engine is from the Skorpion kit I used for the chassis.
  24. I think Cranky has it .. I just finished spot painting a Crown Vic that I was balking at this weekend and it came out good. I just have to reapply the clear coats to be sure it IS invisible. I got many good recommendations when I asked about it here, so here's the original post that may give you some good insight.
