  1. And plugged in the engine
  2. Forgot all about the PL version! I know I'll be picking up a few of them- mostly for Hearse and stock ambulance conversions.
  3. Okay, I admit- I did like Zombieland. And Shaun Of The Dead. But, anyway, I think George Romero has pretty much torpedoed zombies as an effective tool for horror flicks by rehashing them over and over.
  4. I'm thinking 'Blade Runner' meets 'Mad Max'. Lewd and crude, but slightly futuristic as well.
  5. Cool! Now all you've got to do is build a model of it.
  6. I like 'em all- any one of them is worthy of bench time if you ask me! I had an idea of using a Prowler as the base to a more traditional-style rod, maybe seeing this one progress will rekindle that idea.
  7. Community Build Project. Basically it is where a bunch of guys post pictures of similar builds, or models with a similar theme, all on one thread. We've got a whole sub-board here dedicated to them.
  8. It probably is a mis-identified 1:20 Fox. I'd love to see a 1:16 Fox Mustang (bonus points if it's a Notch or at least a non-GT hatch), but I've never seen one in that scale, by anyone, ever.
  9. Thanks to Geroge Romero pretty much running the 'Living Dead' thing into the ground, I'm pretty much done with zombie flicks, much less a zombie TV series. (Love to see how they keep this thing fresh and interesting past two seasons or so. ) Nah, this'll be geared more toward a realistic Apocalpse- something that can deal with degrading roads, rough terrain, and bands of heavily-armed scavengers.
  10. Closest Meijer to me did not carry them last year- don't think I'm gonna bother checking this year.
  11. Got the interior started in mine.
  12. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Like that pic, Justin... looks like its about to launch over the pyramid!
  13. Don't know about you, but I'll still be building hot rods when civilization comes to a screeching halt!
  14. I have seen Latham blowers on Flatheads, but I've never really looked at the manifolds to see what they looked like. I will say that Ardun heads look really great with the Latham blower on a Flattie!
  15. Mine now has an engine- that terrible 390 out of a Jo-Han SC/Rambler. I got it as part of a box of glue bomb engines a few years back, I just gunked it up some. Still needs belt and an air cleaner but you get the general idea.
  16. Might be better off measuring the pattern and printing it out yourself from a computer drawing program. From what I've seen defroster lines barely show up in photos.
  17. Phillip- not sure if there will be a WIP- I'm hoping to just throw it together. Glenn- I'd say put it in on the bench, it is a work in progress, right?
  18. Love the crankshaft spreader bar!
  19. To cut the hole, I do one of two things- I scribe along the rectangular opening left by the tape with the back side of a #11 blade and repeat until the blade is almost through, then pop out the unneeded part. Or, I drill a hole at each corner and use a saw to cut from one hole to the next.
  20. And Glenn- that plow is blowing my mind!
  21. Working on a Hummer H2, built in an apocalyptic rat rod style. Whatever that means!
  22. For me anyway, digging up an AAM transkit might be less of a pain than converting an AMT Taurus SHO into a wagon, much less a Sable!
  23. I just can't believe the screen name 'nobody' wasn't taken until now!
  24. Years ago AAM did a Taurus wagon- if you could find one of those you could rework it into a Sable.
  25. Hirohata Merc meets Squarebird? Who knew the design would translate so well. Very nice!
