Thanks guys it really means a lot, you guys have been the ones to help and teach me, to be honest I forget how long I've been here but I do know that I've greatly improved. Thought I'd add a picture of my Toronto Metro cars together 40 years is quite a difference. Nick

John, the rad was a necessity, the old 26 inch 3 core was good but after a while Andy was having issues with overheating on hot days, the aluminum rad was only $50 more than a aftermarket factory style rad but runs the Duster much cooler. Nick

The odds of me finishing anything else this year is slim, but I never count myself out till the end. Had a busy year, and was able to achieve a few things on my bucket list ( Finally got the Chevy Truck I wanted since I was 3, and got the Classic car I wanted since I was 4 and went to my first car show). needless to say I'm a very happy camper this year. Also met a few people who are very close friends now, and got to chew the fat with them, that is always great, learned lots of life lessons (good and bad), you know the usual stuff. 2011 Total: 12 2012 Total: 14 (Started and finished this year:7, the rest I started last year or before) January: '58 Impala Coupe (3rd Place win at the Ajax 32 show) March:'40 Ford Coupe resto (original 60's build clean up) & '71 Barracuda 440 (started as a rough built up) May: Morris mini (bought from a modellers collection after he passed away and finished in his honor)

This Duster below is a friend of mines, I highlighted the options it has that are on your list. It's mostly Original, it was bought and used as a drag car from day 1, Andy is the 3rd owner. and Yes he's currently doing the body. I apologize for the pictures, I was in a rush, we were taking the Duster out to play. Nick

Thanks Guys, the Blue was a second thought and I ended up striping another paint job I had on it, I'm happy with how it turned out. Nick

Thanks Guys the paint color is Duplicolor Blue Mist, and it was one of the older smaller cans. Sometimes our second thoughts are better than our first. Nick

My top 5: #1) '61-'64 Dodge D100 Sweptline, preferably a 318 3spd truck, also preferable if it is in original condition (not perfect though). #2) '70 Plymouth Duster, 318, 904 (727 would be preferable though), has to have the 14 inch Rallye's and a high Impact color, bench would be nice. #3) '68 GMC Custom 2500, Steel bed floor, leaf springs, 396 and a 3 spd manual on the floor. #4) '68-'70 Oldsmobile Cutlass W-31 (preferably a '68 with a Ram Rod 350) #5) '93 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado Indy 500 Pace Truck What I own: 1993 Chevrolet Cheyenne C1500 (305, 4L60E 4spd Auto W/ Overdrive, longbed single cab) 1969 Plymouth Fury III Convertible (318, 727 3spd auto) Nick

The Gumball Rally- GUMBALL HAS STARTED
Nick Winter replied to Nick Winter's topic in Community Builds
We sadly are nearing the end of this Build, As much as I would have liked to have built a second more race styled vehicle I don't think I'll be squeezing one out, I'll Post a group Underglass on Jan 1st at some point. Nick -
Oldsmobile Toronado question
Nick Winter replied to Nick Winter's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Turns out I have a '66/'67 and a '70 -
I just chose the topics discussed in the 2012 CBP page, I think there are a few that overlap. Nick

Got this from Pat Redmond as a built up he received in a large collection.stripped the body, then had to sand the body down, the paint that was on it actually etched the plastic. So here it is primed, this will be sort of a tribute to Carrol Shelby. I won't show the paint or disclose that part of it till I'm ready to assemble everything. Before: Currently: Nick
-
What years was the Toronado kitted and who were the manufacturers, also does anybody have them and can take pictures of the front & rear, I'm trying to figure out what year and manufacturer the two built ups are so I can buy parts. Nick

Stephen, the Fleetside beds don't fit on the Stepside Cabs unless you cut the mounting tabs off. Nick
