Well I'm back working on the AMT/Revell Kitbash, and getting it ready for paint, found a can of Butternut Yellow I had and will be using it, got the extra hood from the MPC to fit this kit because the kit hood was a write off, got the body almost ready for paint, still a little to do. Nick

New Toy, will come in handy once I finish the bodywork on the 1:1 toy, picked up a can of Epoxy primer also, didn't figure it was photo worthy. Nick

Bought this from Howard Cohen (yes the one on this forum), it was partially started, I just finished it with my vision in mind. Had perfect weather today (4-5 inches of snow) so I worked on finished it up today. It's not 100% realistic, but hey it's different. I like it, Good enough. Nick

Nick Winter replied to rmvw guy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
North of the Border we had the same Joe, actually right now (7:41) it's still snowing, about another inch or so since I last shoveled. Nick -
Busy day, Neighbor gave me some tools, he feels at his age he won't be doing any more right jobs or tune ups, so he thought I may have a use for them, My old Shop Teacher/Friend gave me two Mopar Racing shirts like the one below, He used to work for Chrysler Corp, and was sponsered by Durham Dodge Chrysler, Then I got the AMT '95 Blazer from my friends stash sealed for $10, magazines were going to hit the trash bin. Also got my Tampo Printed Whitewalls from Revell Today. Nick

Thanks guys, and Platerpants, mine is one of a kind, I highly doubt anyone could replicate my build exactly, because I'm not even sure where I got half the parts I have used. Nick -

Christian, I'd take any of those C Body Mopars, We need a modern tool C body. Nick -
I've got an AMT '94 Sonoma SLS that says the same thing actually. I built one as a kid and it showed Cragers and factory markings on the box art, included neither. I have 1 of my 7 AMT 454SS trucks that has the Chrome tree from a AMT '90 Silverado C1500, it doesn't have any of the 454 parts (valve covers, fuel pump, throttle body, wheels) Nick And I'm the one who opened it sealed, I bought 3 others at the same time from the same person who bought all 4 when they were first released. I also have a couple that are molded in different colors. And a few have the grille and bumpers chromed, others do not.

Had paint issues ended up stripping it, went with a slightly different black, it's called Nighthawk Black Pearl, it actually changes color between blue and black, and has a blue metal flake. Still need to polish it out. and BMF it (Why do I constantly build 50's Chrome Monsters) Nick
