Thanks guys, did a bit more, getting very close now, can almost see it now. Finished the engine, added the trim pieces to the nose and glued the tailights in at last nights club meet.

Mark, that looks like the '69 GTX hemi, think it was in the GTX, might have been the Roadrunner kit.
Dirk, I'll put you on the list as undeceided.
Nick
The '53 Flipnose, it has a Big Block Chevy.
Nick
Edit: this the flipnose engine straight from the box (well my blower is shimmed to clear the hood.
hope this helps
Mark if I remember correctly the reason why that kit has 2 engines is because it's actually two kits combined, AMT '68 Roadrunner tooling for the floor pan, suspension and engine. MPC '70 Corronet for the rest. if I remember correctly.

When I opened it, I looked through and it is very well molded, zero flash or sink marks on mine. Mike I'll be sure to let you know, I remember you showing me pictures of your 1:1.
Nick
Jim, added you to the list.
Tony, those are very minilite esque, 5 lugs too, weird choice for them to put in that kit, I appreciate you taking the time to take that photo for me.
