  2. Really, interesting tip, might give it a shot. Nick
  3. Don't see a point in buying another kit when I already have this flathead, difference isn't that much. Rattle can, should have no problems spray bombing it, going to try the Testors one coat lacquer wet look clear on this one. Nick
  4. Actually my 50's Build is still very active until June of 2012. Nick
  5. Okay, thanks Guys, I figure there was more than one car, some are dead flat and others are sorta semi. Nick
  6. Got to see this beautiful Truck in person at the Ajax 31 show, the rest of Clifford and his brothers stuff was beautiful too. Nick
  7. I just wanted to make sure before I tryed it out. The reason I'm asking is that the car's paint is sort of odd, it has gloss white stripes on a flatblack body Ncik
  8. Wondering if I can do this, building a car that requires a flat finish. Nick
  9. Thanks Guys. Dick: the color I ended up buying for it today is a Honda color, Firehawk Black Pearl, it's sort of a black/blue, with a nice pearl to it. Dan: I had my doubts about the size difference but after I test fitted it, it's pretty darn close, and looks fine to me. Managed to do some engine work today. still need to paint the starter and the Rad hoses. Ended up painting the block red, it's not factory correct but looks good. Nick
  10. Grabbed a few things on my way home from a friends, had to stop and get them to replace my oil filter socket (2.2 Ecto-tech), atleast it has a lifetime warranty. Nick
  11. Bit more Done, took some screen shots of the 1:1 and painted the car with Duplicolor Black Primer today. Nick
  12. Better photo's without tape. Nick
  13. Still not sure on color, started working on the rolling stock today. kit tires with Revell '32 5 window tire decals, and a shot of dullcoat, still need to and treads. Kit wheels, still need to drill for valve stems. Gave the offy valve covers a touch of paint so I could see how they'd look Nick
  14. Okay, thanks. Mark: nothing wrong with out of the box, lots of great models are built that way. Nick
  15. How the rest stand. Nick
  16. Charger: Little bit more, really only need to piant and detail the body then assemble everything. Corvette: Nick
  17. Little bit more, really only need to piant and detail the body then assemble everything. Nick
  18. Thought I'd start another ( I another because of the Curbside '70 Chevelle) simple one, give myself a break from the harder stuff I'm working on finishing. Just something to tinker on while this is drying or that is setting up. The kit I have chosen is Monogram's '32 Ford Roadster, this is a 2010 reissue molded in white that I picked up for the huge price of $11.76 with tax as a new release (had a coupon), I didn't like the small block chevy it had, and so it went back to the stash, in the end of october I picked up the early 90's release of the AMT '49 Merc for the high cost of $5 sealed at the Ajax 31 model show (had a great time looking at all the builds, hitting the vendors and hanging out with the guys in our club). This kit happens to have a beautiful IMHO Flathead with Offy heads and intake, aswell as Stromberg 97 carbs, and a "Beehive" Oil Filter, IMO a great Hot Rod engine. More Photo's to follow.
  19. No problem Bel Air or Chevy truck?
  20. Sure can. Nick
  21. Sure Bobby. Welcome to the build.
  22. MartinFan5: I used Various grits of sand paper and worked my way down, making sure not to sand through. Nick

Rob, can I join in, Got to thinking, this may motivate me to finish a few that are sitting there starring me down: Partial list: '78 Dodge Baja truck '67 Vette Stingray Roadster '84 GMC Sierra Classic ( fourth times the charm right.............) '71 Charger Coupe '32 Ford Hot Rod I'm almost definatley forgetting atleast one. Nick
