  1. She sure is looking good Charlie!, the engine detail is fantastic, really think I'm gonna be gettin' some parts from Pro-Tech in the near future.
  2. All the work on the hinges payed off well Chris!. In my humble opinon, I think angle #2 might work better, looks like it gives you more room for the interior tin pieces.
  3. The Nova is lookin' awesome Tyrone!the body & engine look just fantastic.
  4. It all looks good Joe, nice blue, the decals, the only thing that could have made it even better (& no, not if it was mine!), if the Jungle Jim decals were the ones with "Jungle" Pam with Jim. Great looking car!
  5. In my stash here, I have some of Detail Masters braided line, but after seeing a how-to using both types in, I believe the other magazine, & seeing it used here, I'm planning on getting some of Charlies for my builds. Maybe get Charlie to make the "bagged system"? hhhhhmmmmm.
  6. It's all looking really good Rom, can't wait to see her when she's done!
  7. How about parts kits, containing things like braided hose, wiring(spark plug, detail wiring etc.),bolts, valve stems. It would be like ordering a pack/bag of hoses, bolts whatever you need without having to figure out what sizes you will need, like "I'm building a nitrous car" & getting the correct size hoses or bolts or whatever.
  8. The chassis is looking fine Joe!, also liked the pic of "Benito De Nitro", I remember seeing that picture in the magazine years ago (just don't remember what magazine).
  9. Terrible!,awful!lousy!. O-K, I'm just joking  (something bad had to be said sooner or later LOL!) , it ALL looks great Derrick!, lovin' this build!
  10. I agree with Derrick, thats how I do it too, only smaller, 1/25th scale right now, some 1/16ths in the future.
  11. Don't mean to steal your post area Chris, but I have to disagree with Mark's comments on The Snake selling the Vega (which he didn't like, he didn't go for the "lay-down" seating position) to The Shoe, in '73 Don Schumacher was driving the Wonder Wagon Aero Vega (front wheel bubbles, large hood scoop, clear roof hatch & the open grille "square" nose), in '74, he lost the Wonder Bread sponsorship & got the Revell sponsorship, from what I've seen, Don just had the '73 nose cut off & a '74 nose grafted on & a new paint scheme for the Revell's Super Shoe Vega, being as the wheel bubbles, scoop & roof hatch all match his '73 Vega, plus the '74 Vega still was running '73 tail lights. Now on to your build, it's looking great as usual, the aluminum or brass idea doesn't sound bad, it would probably be stronger then the plastic, can't wait to see what you do. Keep up the great work, & sorry again about "stealing" you post.
  12. The oil pump came out great (whats new!), the distributor is coming out real nice also, one thing I notice is missing Rom, don't forget to drill a hole for the coil wire.
  13. Think I'll have to get one of them tar issues!
  14. Really like the Roadrunner (another MOPAR fan), I remember seeing pics of the original Super Stock& Drag Illustrated Project car years ago, in of Super Stock magazine.
  15. It's looking good here Joe,like the canards, don't see them on too many of the older dragsters/funny cars. Good idea putting them on.
  16. I think the only reason I noticed it is because of the engine pics I've been collecting for my builds, planning on detailing the engines as real looking as I can get them, I'll be running sensor lines from the lower engine area (crankcase area),blower, fuel & from the rear-end. To me,if you are going to put all the time into scratch-building,buying detail parts & everything else, it should be as realistic as possible,I know alot of people don't agree with me,but thats them & this is me, it's just the way I like to build & I don't expect everybody to build that way,as has been said before, to each their own & thats the way it should be. It's a great build Rom, & I'm enjoying it very much, planning on using some of your ideas, but in 1/25th.
  17. Built a version of the "Fighting Irish" Camaro awhile back, had different decals on the side tho, where did you get those decals?
  18. Agree with all the above, as Chris states, wouldn't mind seeing a resin version.
  19. Rom, the lines/engine are looking good!noticed that you set up the sensor line running from the barrell valve to the fuel block, nice detailing!
  20. Lived in Fl. for 34 years, west coast about 50 miles north of Tampa, from what it seems the west coast will be spared by Irene, but after those 3-in-a-row a few years back (one went just south, one went just north & one went right over my house/trailer), I decided I have had enough with humidty & hurricanes, so I moved!, to the desert in Tucson,no humidty,no hurricanes. Hope all who are in the path of Irene stay safe.
  21. I guess "Death" can just put the bodies of his victims in the back LOL!, it's looking nice Brett.
  22. I think you went with the right choice Dave, the aluminum ones look a little better.
  23. The Camaro is turning out great Gregg!, the engine looks fantastic sitting in the chassis!
  24. The Vette body is turning out fantastic Jeff!, the front fender work came out real nice.
  25. "Lovin' Every Minute of It"!
