  1. I bought 2 of the 44'Galaxie Limited Trailers a few years back to "house" some of the Pro-Mods I plan on building, great kits, I have one semi-built, I painted the floor with Testors Aluminum Plate Metalizer paint then buffed it out & it came out great, haven't used the Testors Metaliziers sealer on it since that seems to dull out the finish, I'll try (experiment) some normal gloss clear. I recommend the Trailer kits, the ones I got were well made, no warpage, & go together well.
  2. Forgot to say, the pictures posted on the SA forum of the Nova are under the ProModNut name, it;s the '69-'70 Yenko Nova SS, if you want to see that (along with the trouble I have posting LOL!)
  3. Jeff, I'm gonna try, I was "posting" pictures of a P/M Nova on the SA forum, but was having a hard time getting them right, I have put the Nova on break while I work on these 2 (stealing parts for the Nova to do these cars), right now I have the engine (Ross Gibson RoadHammer Hemi)semi painted, I have to make the fuel distribution block for the manifold & the blower restraint bracket then paint them, then I'm planning on taking pictures of the engine as it sits (all the pieces sitting seperate), the TEM 3-speed transmission before & after painting, then as they get put together. I'll be doing the body work that is needed to both bodies, take pictures, but I'm planning on keeping the body styles a "secret" for now. I will give a hint to the body types tho, I'll give the "names" for the cars, any guesses will be welcome. Project #1 P/X: "Angela" & Project #2 P/N: "the Judge", hopefully in a few days I'll try & post the engine & tranny for "Angela". Can't wait to see your build as she moves along!
  4. really nice build, the paint looks great!, the yellow & black look good, the interior came out nice too!, & I have to agree, wish my builds looked that good at 14, 53 now & still have a hard time, hope you are still building at 50+!
  5. It looks better every time I see it, & that's a really BIG hole in the hood(lol!)
  6. I have to agree 100% with Brett, hate you now , also would not mind knowing how you did the headlight area, have 2 pro-mods I'm getting ready to put together, going to work on both back & forth, getting all the engine work done for project#1, then I'll start doing the engine for project#2, #2 is going to need bodywork pretty much like your Chevelle (narrowing the front, rounding down the front fenders & such), so I am planning on using some of your techniques on it, so I will be watching you!
  7. Nice build. Noticed the little side-view mirror on the car, I remember seeing them on some of the early RE dragsters, mainly "Big Daddy"s car. Even Don looks good (wonder how he'd feel about the "afro"!)LOL!
  8. I think it'll look pretty cool, one thing you might want to do after looking at the angle of the "hood"scoop, is add a piece to the snorkle end of it at an angle to catch the air better, just an idea. Do it, would like to see this.
  9. From what I've seen of the rules for the P/M type car (I say P/M type because the ADRL does not use the Pro-Mod moniker,Pro-Extreme for blown cars & Pro-Nitrous for nitrous cars),both racing bodies rules are same up to certain points, the wheelbase is the same: min.100" max.115" (for cars, trucks are longer)width is also the same: 2" either way, both allow a front overhang of 45"'s from center of wheel to tip of the nose with a approved extension if the front doesn't make it to 45".
  10. the picture looks good, hope you get the paint soon, I want to see this car when it's done
  11. The Camaro is coming along well Tyrone, I agree and think the front spoiler needs a little more to it,waiting to see how it turns out, the Ross Gibson motor looks awesome, but then all the RGE's look awesome. Keep up the great work!
  12. It looks like a lot of work, but it's coming along really well, enjoying the build, keep up the good work.
  13. I don't know how to say this but I'll try.... WWWWWOOOOOOWWWWWW!, it's looking GREAT!, love this build, can't wait to see more!
  14. It will no doubt be different. I'll be following this build, like to see how it turns out, from what I've seen of your previous builds this should be a looker.
  15. The Chevelle is looking top notch, the front is coming along really good, like the new wheels, they do look a lot better.
  16. wish I could, but I'm unemployed at the moment, little money, & no way to get there. Have never been to a model car show, been to a few 1:1 car shows back when I lived in Fl. (got to see the '58 Plymouth Fury Christine at one show, really nice car!). Hope to be able to make it to some shows soon but we'll have to see how things work out.
  17. Just checked my sources & Alterd States is the company that makes the Ford 427 Cammer I mentioned above. Part #'s AS03-001 is the blown motor & AS02-002 is the injected, both list for $38.00 + shipping (I'm sure). This is also a excellent motor.
  18. Yeah, I didn't even think of the breather caps for the extra hole, makes sense tho don't it?
  19. Chris, I don't think you will be disappointed, it's a nice engine. I've had mine for a few years now, (haven't put it together yet, but I will!), if you ever get a 1/16 Ford F/C (you can get a Mustang from Competition Resins, I got one from Greg Fox awhile back)there's a real nice 427 SOHC from a resin company ( I think it's Alterd States but I'm not sure), you can get it with either a blower or injected.
  20. Yes, the Comptition Resins Donovan 417 is cast from the Aurora model, comes with a blower & enderle "bug-catcher".
  21. Looks neat, I'm going to have to guess & say it's going to be painted yellow.
  22. I would think more then likely it's a MPC, I know MPC made most of the P/S models back in the '70's, the 5th hole on the valve cover is a casting goof I would think.
  23. Always used Testors paints for years, last year I tried some of the Tamiya spray paints & I love them!, they spray so much better then the Testors,I still use the Testors Metalizers & some other Testors, but for painting bodies it's Tamiya for me!
  24. Happy Birthday Gregg, Jeez, I can remember (almost) (o-k, not at all)when I hit 50, hope you start & continue to feel better. Great Mag, Great Forum, enjoy both a lot!
