  1. Awesome!! I love all the extra details you added Rick
  2. Thank You all, actually the stripes weren't all that hard, I did them in stages. That Tamiya tape sure makes things a lot easier!! Rick
  3. I really like that!! I would love to see more pictures. I am also building one, I got it from AITM, but it won't be anywhere near as dressed up as yours. Rick
  4. Thank You All for the great compliments!! The colors are Tamiya Maroon over Tamiya Chrome Yellow. I liked the picture on the box, but my eyes couldn't tell if it was brown and yellow or maroon and yellow. I painted up a couple of plastic spoons in those colors and let my family decide. I think they made the right choice! Thanks Again!! Rick
  5. Thank you for the compliments! That's a great idea, using button covers like that. I'll have to look for some of those for one of my next projects!! Thanks! Rick
  6. Very Very Cool!! Kinda makes you think what could have been!! Now I'm waiting for someone to do a Yenko Chevy Sprint (Geo Metro)............ Rick
  7. Thank You! I really didn't expect any replies this late. Yes, I think I'm going to build one of the recently re-issued flatbeds for it........ Rick
  8. After more than a year and a half, I can finally call another model done!! Between migraines, home maintenence, 1:1 car problems, and numerous other things, I finally got some good model time in!! Finished this one last week. Built mostly straight out of the box with only a couple of mod's, I thought you guys might like to see it! All comments good or bad are welcome, 'cause how else can I learn what I did wrong? Thanks for looking...... Rick
  9. I have been there twice, '05 and '07. I am a bit shy, so I didn't talk to many people, but still had a good time. All of those models were AMAZING!! I hope to go again next year! Rick
  10. I really like that one, I just started to build mine last week. I'll be happy if it turns out half as good as yours! Rick
  11. If the world does end in 2012, the Cubs could win in 2013! (I lived in Chicago area for 31 years so I can jab at the Cubs ) Rick
  12. I dvr'ed andwatched it earlier today. Awesome! They used to run at a small track in southern Wisconsin, where I used to live. Thats what got me hooked. Since we moved to Salt Lake, The only time I could go to a race was when they used to run in Las Vegas. I'll never forget the look on my former neighbor's face when I dragged him with me. When the first car came out for qualifing and he saw that thing running sideways on a dirt track at whatever speeds they run with the front wheels off the ground, it was priceless!! He was immediatly hooked. Rick
  13. If you put an International 4300 with those trailers it would look just like what I drove in the early '90s. I see nothing wrong with the ride height on either of the trailers. Also, real nice Autocar, I always liked the way they looked! Rick
  14. Thanks for the advice, I had worried about drying and warping, but hadn't even considered damage from dust, moisture, and stacking. Thanks Again, Rick
  15. Oh yes, a very funny man! My son has collected almost every dvd and cd he has released. I really like his character "Peanut"! Rick
  16. Hi all, I recently made some pretty nice molds and already made the parts I need, what's the best way to store the molds for future use? Do I keep the halves together or separated, in a baggie or something so they remain soft and don't dry out? I have read as much as I could find about making and using the molds, but nothing was said about what to do after. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Rick
  17. Good movie, just watched it again yesterday, "Ghost Rider" Rick
  18. Is this one from My Science Project? Lets try this one, "Don't worry, I can fix it, it's only the left side" Rick
  19. I believe this one is from Hooper, the beer drinking scene when they're being questioned by the law enforcement officer Rick
  20. OUCH!! Lets hope your car is not a magnet for this kind of thing. We had a Corsica years ago that got hit quite often. It was in the body shop for repairs six times in the five years we owned it. One of those times, the shop called saying we could not pick it up when promised due to a "mishap" in the shop with another car. After we finally sold it, we found out it caught fire in the garage of the people we sold it to, and severely damaged their house! That thing had to be posessed or something........ Rick
  21. I find myself using epoxy more and more lately. I have found that the brand doesn't matter much, but mixing it well makes all the difference. It needs to be mixed at least a full minute or it won't cure properly Rick
