One of the most famous trick that K.I.T.T has is the Turbo Boost. A button that make it jump over obstacles on the road.
Since I built K.I.T.T. here and I'm going to build a trailer. I can combine both and make a diorama out of it. I don't know why it does not allowed me to add a second link...
Here K.I.T.T.
Thank you Rick!
Larry, if I knew how it was I was not going to buy a different kit.
After some research on internet I couldn't find if this trailer is a copy of a real one. So I modified the rear bumper and added the side rails. Also I added some kind of brake lines.
The inner part of the tires need a lot, I mean a lot of trimming to make fit the inner and outer wheels with the center wheels.
Here a test fitting.
Thank you Gator! I put togheter the flat bed and this thing is getting worse...
Thank you Brian!
Here the update, I put together the flat bed and glue on it the rear axles. Nothing fit very well, and looks all twisted...
I start this trailer, it is out of the Lindberg kit with the Dodge L-700.
A lot of confusion is going on between the instructions and the parts on the threes... Not very good fitting too... With a lot of work I was able to put together the rear axles.
I measured the lenght on the center part of the roof and is 3,3mm, on the window 3,2mm. The width on the A pillar is 2,6mm on the B pillar 2,5mm. I can measure them with a caliber in inches if it helps.
I went last year to visit the International Model Car builders Museum in Sandy UT, and I was impressed how pack it was with models and model related items. They are looking more of the history of the hobby, in fact all the most famous builder are there.
Thank you Hector!
Thank you Bill! Was one of my favorite show too. I didn't watch a lot of the pursuit Mode, because they changed hour for show it in TV.
For a long time I wanted to do a stop motion video of a kit building itself, but I didn't find the right subject. The K.I.T.T. kit worked great also because it drive itself... Was a great fun experience, it toke me little over 10 days and almost 600 picture to build video and model.
I'm also planning to use K.I.T.T. in a diorama...
Finally it is done... I had a lot of fun building it, also because I made a stop motion video about it.
The kit is straight out of the box, except for scanner light, side windows and driver figure.
Stop motion video of K.I.T.T
Thank you Carl!:)
Some more progress. I was able to finish the car yesterday. I did also a short stop-motion video...
The overhead console painted.
Body completed and ready for the final assembly. I add the driver and passenger windows.
